Stop being so patronizing!

Empathy, not patronizing. Cannot imagine my parents doing this.

They’re clearly not as extraordinary as Biden (I’m sure they’re extraordinary to you. But it takes something special to be elected president of the US.)

DP. How is the PP patronizing? We all know he doesn’t do well late at night. I’m sure he is exhausted.

And yet, he appears just fine!

It’s like he feels like yelling will make himself sound more cogent. He’s not doing a bad job but the screaming is off putting.

If so you wouldn’t know. He is fired up!

I feel like he’s just an old guy yelling.

I feel like you’re just a Republican lashing out.

They loaded Joe full of everything they had... that's why he's yelling the entire time.

He’s in Dark Brandon mode.

Democrats are mired in the past, controlled by their life long puppet masters who have been in their positions for decades and jealously guard the reins of power. Democrats would rather have a virtual corpse in a wheelchair (Dianne Feinstein) in office than have an unknown/new/young democrat elected.

Are you not watching Warnock right now? Did you not see AOC earlier? Or see Buttigieg on the news all the time? Dems have a deep young bench at this point.

As a millennial Dem, I wish I hadn’t seen AOC earlier. She is such a hack.

But yes I agree Dems have built a younger bench including buttigieg, newsom, whitmer, Shapiro etc. to be honest I think any of them would have won a primary more easily than Kamala.

AIC is exactly who she should be to represent her district. Have you even been to the Bronx? Just like Jamie Raskin is the perfect wonky liberal policy geek to represent his district in Maryland. They are both perfect for their jobs and neither has a real political future outside those roles. (Well maybe AOC could get Mayor of NYC if she wanted that.)

I live in the NYC area. In Jamaal bowman’s district. So yes have be been to the Bronx. AOC is angling for Chuck Schumer’s seat when he retires and has pivoted towards the more mainstream national platform. She is a sellout, her actual views are extremist and she is a hack politician like most others. On top of that, she’s no special talent - she’s just another complaining millennial with Twitter.

I suppose we shall see. The above comes off as a bitter and kind of jealous.

Anyone with an ounce of sense in their head can appreciate why AOC has tacked somewhat to the center (if she has. I think moved center just means she's voted with the Democrats). True progress in the US is a generation long, or more, effort. Maybe AOC has the talent for the long haul, maybe not. Being Rashida Tlaib is easy, but confining. Being Nancy Pelosi is not.

Powerful, and it’s only night one!

Because she loved him, she didn’t want him to lose to Trump. He was incapable of prosecuting the case against Trump this time. There are multiple hundred plus page threads about this.

I think he was crying because of his daughter’s speech.

Be human!

Yes, he was wiping his eyes as he was so moved.

We don’t all know what he is like at night.

You take all of the speculation after the debate as gospel.

Um… you believe all of the speculation and idiotic rumors about TFG as gospel. Spare us all.

This isn’t about like. I loved my late father. I also pushed him to retire when it was clear he had cognitive decline and could do harm. I would sing his praises even after he retired.

You all complain when he speaks softly too.

OMG. Stop the incredibly off-putting fawning over Biden. He’s not “extraordinary.”

Exactly.

He may be overcompensating for that old complaint!
