I can’t STAND Pence and his worldview.
But he could’ve refused to do his ceremonial duty and delayed things as planned by the seditionists. He could’ve joined the insurrection for the POTUS who made him VP. He didn’t. I hesitate to call him hero. But on that very important occasion he did the right thing. |
Baloney. Pence wants to run for President and if he had done Trump's bidding there would be no way he could throw his hat in the ring. I am not saying that it did not take courage because it did. Even after trump invited the hooligans who were shouting to hang him, Pence is still Trump's lap dog. Has he ever come out and say, unequivocally, that he and trump lost by a substantial amount. If he does that then I would consider him a hero. |
No and Trump put him in danger and Pence has never called him on this. |
Perhaps if he had said anything. Perhaps if he had made it clear what the GOP was planning and who was in on it. Perhaps if he wasn’t such a flaming butt bag who supported all the gross stuff Trump did for the years prior. You want to give him credit for having done his job while in danger, but in this instance he helped create the conditions that caused him to be in danger. He’s not an innocent. |
you must have a very simple thought process if you think a person cannot simultaneously be not innocent and a hero |
I’m saying that the fool was complicit. |
your refusal to admit pe ce was a hero on 6 jan endangers our country. when a person does good, you praise them. otherwise the war is endless. grow up and admit that even very flawed people can do acts worthy of unqualified praise |
Dp - I don’t consider people heroes for doing what they’re supposed to be doing, what they get paid to be doing. Not everyone who dies in war is a hero, not every LEO who dies on the job is a hero.
Pence did the right thing and he should be praised for it, but that doesn’t make him a hero. We’ve tainted the word by doling it out too easily. |
Pence would really be a hero if he would testify as to his conversations with Trump. And don't tell me that a President ordering the Vice President to obstruct the orderly transition of power is protected by Executive Privilege, because it isn't. |
this....its scary |
