What do you think? |
Maybe DCUM admin deleted it like he does anything that’s remotely critical of Maret? |
I also heard he’s Illuminati and they didn’t mention that either. I think we’re at the point where we need a William Shatner narrated Netflix documentary on this. |
…says the person posting this in a 38-page thread bashing Maret that’s still up and running and ready to receive another day’s worth of theories, innuendo and amateur sleuthing about the new HoS. |

Lol there’s no moral high ground on this site, honey. |

Back to the facts:
from July 2021 Wall St Journal: Chris Whittle: "He said he had taken out a very large mortgage on the property in order to fund his latest venture, Whittle School & Studios, another for-profit school network, but the Covid-19 crisis derailed his plans. When Covid hit, it interrupted schools all over the world,” he said. “Over the last 18 months, I really had a terrible Sophie’s Choice: to support the school or support the home. I chose the school. Today’s really the result of that.” So...what mortgage? None of the ones in court appear to have done more than pay back some old Avenues-and -friends debts. Did the wife step in with a loan? A reporter should get to the bottom of this because it was the argument used by senior leadership and parent leadership to convince parents to open their pocketbooks "like Chris did". Any mortgage would have to be registered in Suffolk County. Not saying he's lying ..just asking for the facts. Who gave you the mortgage referred to, Chris? How much? What was the disbursement schedule on it ? when? How did that money get transferred to the school? Surely your Board had to approve this, no? It makes a really good story if it's true, so he has every incentive to be much more open about this. |
You could email the WSJ reported to confirm the mortgage. I'm sure the WSJ fact-checkers would have looked into it if it made it into the story without a caveat by the reported that no such mortgage was able to be confirmed. |
| No. This wasn't a business story. Just a real estate story with splashy photos of his house so they rarely do deep vetting. |
I know you think that mocking this scandal /slo-mo car crash might trivialize the culpability and harm, which are real, or put people off the scent. But the malfeasance by these people is so obvious that it’s making it more and more interesting everytime you scream move on, nothing to see here folks. At very best, shockingly poor judgment and extremely self-serving attitude, neither of which recommend any of these people for anything, let alone for HOS of a premier school. If there was nothing to it, Bisgarrds would have made a statement and wouldnt be scrubbing their twitter of 2021 support for Whittle |
No one is bashing Maret. People are shocked by the unpacking of the scandal and as the result of the findings, question the HOS foisted upon Maret despite the community’s objections. At the time of his hiring many of these things weren’t known from the dodgy parent committee to his wife’s role on it and in Whittles inner circle to the bitter end to the schools implosion after only 3 years. If your job depended on placing the right candidates, would this be your top choice? How would you possibly defend it? |
The Board on which a Bisgaard sat eh? |
| Maret parent here. Questioning so much here. Why, why, why take damaged goods when there are clearly people out there who could have served our community better. Wife seems particularly dubious with her behaviors, I can't lie... |
Like clockwork. Every time this thread falls down the home page and has no recent posts there’s a new “as a Maret parent”, “Maret parent here” or “zomg, here’s some new juicy gossip [that was discussed on page 20 of this thread already”. |
|
Oy. Maret parent that doesn't want to see another Maret parent challenge what's going on? Bisgaards are sketchy. Own it.
