So...what mortgage? None of the ones in court appear to have done more than pay back some old Avenues-and -friends debts. Did the wife step in with a loan? A reporter should get to the bottom of this because it was the argument used by senior leadership and parent leadership to convince parents to open their pocketbooks "like Chris did".  Any mortgage would have to be registered in Suffolk County. Not saying he's lying ..just asking for the facts.

Who gave you the mortgage referred to, Chris? How much? What was the disbursement schedule on it ? when? How did that money get transferred to the school?

Surely your Board had to approve this, no? It makes a really good story if it's true, so he has every incentive to be much more open about this.[/quote]
