Would you let him be friends with your DS

Anonymous
So my DS said he friend got suspended for school for a week because he hit a girl. The girl was hurt and had to go to the clinic. DS said his friend was mad cause she told her "if you're all big and back why don't you hit me" so he did. do you think the kid will have issues with domestic violence if he doesn't get the help he needs?

How old are the kids?

Where is this? No way for my DS but I doubt he would be around a kid like that (burbs).

What the hell does that mean? You think geographical location dictates anger management failures?

Sure. Sounds like the girl requested a punch, and he gave it to her. He sounds generous.

Give me a break. We live in Bethesda. I was being polite when I used the word "doubt." Actually I am 100% sure my kids are not around that kind of behavior. Sorry if that's not PC enough for you, PP.

Who knows the whole story ..,
That one incident is not enough info.

You are a naive idiot.

I would have to know as more than that to make a decision. Would it make me a little wary, sure. But I remember being a young girl and realizing I could say anything to boys and they could not hit me. I probably deserved a punch. It is possible the girl provoked him. It is possible the kid could benefit from a good friend. One incident does not make a bad kid.

I wonder if George Huguely V's friends thought he was an all around great guy...

I would make it clear to DS that I do NOT approve of this so-called friend, and that I would not facilitate that friendship.

At 13, everyone should know better than to punch somebody else, for Lord's sake. This is about self-control and maturity. You don't sock someone because they asked for it.

He was a young adult, not a 13 year old.

I completely agree. Sounds like a cool kid. He won't take shit from anyone I'm sure your son will be protected by him.
