I heard ECNL will potentially promote 3 RL clubs in my area this year. They are all above average RL teams. If they get that ECNL patch would definitely bring in more quality players.

This will only work if they move down clubs.

they do. FL West ecnl is getting demoted in Florida after this season. FL West should move to ga.

I don't think so. ONE good thing about the Ihatesoccer guy is he says who he is. He's very transparent. That frankly gives him way more credibility than the anonymous accounts. Wouldn't surprise me, tho, that pro-ECNL forces start to rag on him. He's fair to GA.

I tell ya ... I bet the merger talks for ECNL must not be going well, since they're trying to tear down GA so hard. MLS must be telling them how many GA clubs they gotta take and they don't like it.

The Lonestar promotion also came with changes to their conference. Classics Elite was demoted to RL and neighboring Sting Austin was acquired by RL club FC Westlake. Lonestar used to be the better club of all four, so this will allow them to build back up by keeping younger players.

Accepting some of these GA clubs may hurt some of the local clubs that have intentionally denied said GA clubs.

Soccer in the United States is about to enter a renaissance period. In the coming years, more young kids than ever will register to play the sport. The real question is not if they will play. It is where they will register.

On the boys side, MLS NEXT is positioned to capture a large share of that growth. Clubs with MLS NEXT will attract a huge percentage of the boys entering the game.

But on the girls side, the battle is still wide open.

Name a biased comment he said? Just name one…. He’s probably one of the most fair guys out there. Talks to both sides to find out why they do what they do. Also asks questions that parents are thinking.

Until the NWSL gets involved it will be ECNL. They already have the vast majority of the quality clubs/teams.

The only disruption for them would be if the NWSL started a league.
