How do you reheat frozen cooked meatloaf?

Anonymous
DH made a meatloaf and we didn't eat it. We put it in the freezer. It is fully cooked. How do we defrost and reheat it without drying it out?

Defrost slowly in refrigerator overnight. Add a few teaspoons of water and butter to pan and microwave covered.

So, you want to water bath it. It's best if you can defrost it first(put in a ziplock bag and place in warm water for an hour).
To cook: place meatloaf(assuming it's still in the pan form) in a large pan that can be covered(either with a lid or foil), fill larger pan with an inch or 2 of water, cover and bake @310 for about 20 minutes(if defrosted), 30-40 minutes if frozen. Check temperature of meatloaf to see when done.

Oh GOD no -- please don't microwave a frozen block of meat. Yuck.

Next poster is on target. Cook in the oven with moisture around it.

That poster said microwave after defrosting -they're not suggesting you microwave frozen meat

Still - ew. Put it in the oven.

Thaw it enough to slice, then brush the slices with a sauce made from ketchup, a little bit of Worcestershire, black pepper, and a splash of rice wine vinegar and brown in a pan on both sides.

The sugar in the ketchup caramelizes (alternately, you could use tomato sauce + a little brown sugar), it's super tasty.

Great ideas.
