There's no love triangle. Matty was done with long before she met Travis.

She finally mustered the courage to tell the world about how down bad she is for Matty Healy. Fans are now connecting dots with lyrics about him dating as far back as her Reputation album and all the other albums since then, and lyrics between his band's songs and her. Check out the Oh Caroline video - the dance he does with the girl is the same silly dance Taylor does in Delicate. There are hundreds of clues to their secret love over the years, some even speculating that she was hooking up with MH on the down low while with Joe (not my take, but it wouldn't surprise me).

Why in the world would she admit all of that after the fact if the door is not open? She says so herself in loml: our love was legendary, still alive at the cemetery, never quite buried. She might have closed a chapter, but that book ain't finished yet ;)

My take (for what it's worth, which isn't much) is that she finally admitted it because it's finally closed. Putting it out there is what slams the door shut for good. That's how I listen to the album and the takeaway that I'm getting from it.

I can see both scenarios. It's possible she is finally over MH and appreciates all the creative inspiration that they provided to each other over the years. So by admitting to their love out loud, this is her way of thanking him and closing the chapter. Or maybe this is masterful PR on behalf of her team to make her decent fans actually dig deeper than the tabloid headlines (like a PP did) about this free spirit dude who does unconventional stuff at times and can be a turn-off for the general public. And to root for Romeo and Juliet, because who doesn't like a happy ending to a tragic, star-crossed love story? Could also be her cry out to him to come fight for her.
Only time will tell.
Either way, I think Travis Kelce is a clown and definitely not the man who will make her happy long-term.

I feel like she’s going to break Travis’s heart. He’s a big boy and he’ll be fine etc., but I think he is genuinely head over heels for her, while he isn’t what she’s going to want long term (regardless of whatever MH does).

That ship sailed a long time ago. There is no PR arrangement. If she hated him they could be seen a lot less together. Why does she need a PR arrangement? It will be odd if they are not married before too long. My wife would have cringed also. So? That is what spouses do. The better video to watch is the one where Taylor security backs off as soon as Travis sits with her. When he gets up they get closer. That should tell you all you need to know. Security knows all and they know they can back off with him because she is safe. Not the case for a PR stunt and not the case unless they are sleeping together 24/7 which they appear to be.

I posted back in the beginning of this thread that they will get married, have a couple of kids but it won't be forever. After 7-8 years, there will be a conscious uncoupling and they will co-parent well as friends.
