Travis and Taylor

Most of the drinking comments stem from a comment someone made saying why would Taylor want to date a drunkard. They were insinuating that Travis drinks a lot. It was just countered that actually Taylor drinks a lot. Which she seems to.

I thought she'd been secretly seeing Matty for 10 years or longer, and every song she's ever written (except the ones about Kim Kardashian) are about Matty.

But, no, now you say she only dated Matty for a fortnight (2 weeks) - because otherwise how could the song be about him?

I'm so confused.

It’s amazing how confused it is when you talk to people with cognitive dissidents.

lol. Cognitive what?? Hahahaha!!!!!!! Idiot trying to be smart on the Entertainment forum.

And don’t say autocorrect either!!! You know you meant it!!

So what? That doesn’t make her a drunkard. Good lord. She’s 34, an incredibly hard worker, doesn’t have kids. Let her have a drink in peace. JFC. You all are exhausting. I hope you get judged hard for being old biddies.

I assume you mean Taylor is the drunkard? She seems to drink waaaaayyyy more than Travis.

She doesn’t drink at all while on tour and runs 3 hours a day.

NP. Almost every time she’s seen in public, or in private, she has a drink in her hand unless she’s on stage. Come on.

She told us in her opening track she is a functioning alcoholic.

She also said she had an affair with a neighbor and she hasn’t.

The “neighbor” is Matty. He moved to Los Angeles from London last fall, which is basically her “backyard” because she spends a lot of time there and records. Both she and Matt are “cheating”: he is her “husband” and she is his “wife” who is cheating and she wants to kill - they got “married in their heads” (The 1975) and were “wearing imaginary rings” (Taylor in Fresh Out The Slammer). They talked “rings and cradles” (loml).

No Fortnight is about Joe

She loved him but it was ruining her life, his depression is too much and she was patient, but it was too much. He broke up with her to let her off the hook
She imagines he will find a wife and she will be cordial to him when they run into each other "at the mailbox", but really his wife will probably be lovely watering the flowers but she's gonna want to kill her because ... she loved him.

Tell me you are kidding? How did you people pass high school English with such poor analytical skills 🤦‍♀️
She touched Matty for a fortnight (two weeks, the time they were together publicly last spring). As a 1975’s fan, I can tell you that there are a million musical and lyrical references in that video alone. Go watch their videos of Part Of The Band or Somebody Else, they are identical to Fortnight. And by the way, she and Matty Healy have been hooking up for at least a decade and have tons of nods to each other in their songs over the years. He is all over her albums starting with Reputation. I know you won’t believe me, but Harry, Joe and Travis are irrelevant. It’s always been Matty who gets her going. She even said so herself: “All those nights you kept me going, swirled you into all of my poems.”

cognitive *dissonance*

For a Fortnight they touched and for 10 years they were on and off again longing to touch but probably touched then too when nobody was watching 😆

They very likely did. Many times. She has alluded to it in a number of her songs about their secret trysts, e.g. Illicit Affairs, Maroon, August, Cardigan.

Fortnight is definitely about Matty Healy. The typewriter, the head piece (the exact same as his headpiece in Part Of The Band video), the black dog (also in their video), the black & white aesthetic, the sound being so similar to theirs in About You...

Taylor loves the real Matty behind the mask and his tattoos, behind the controversial persona that the world likes to focus on, so when she’s interacting with Post Malone, she doesn’t see his face tattoos. Instead, the tattoos are transferred to her face at the beginning, because Matty has left his marks on her (“I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss, I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs”).

The fans were electrocuting Taylor last spring because she was "mad" for being in love with MH so he "pulled the plug" on their relationship to save her from all the hate and backlash because he too loved her deeply. In My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, she sings, “Told me I'm better off, but I'm not, I'm not, I'm not”, and in Down Bad, “How dare you think it’s romantic, leaving me safe and stranded.”

Anyway, at least that was the interpretation I saw online that made the most sense to me.
Interestingly, she and Post Malone find each other and touch at the end of the video, so is that what she is hoping and wishing for? Only time will tell. Also interestingly, in About You, Healy sings "Wait (don't let go) and pretend (don't let go), Hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end."

Cherry picking I see.

This same argument repeats itself on this website about every 2 weeks. Whoever the poster or posters are who are enamored with Matty Healy have said the same thing over and over and over again, in every possible way it can be said, and then the whole thing starts over yet again. Talk about monotonous. Why are you here on a Travis and Taylor site when there is another thread for you. You’re not changing anyone’s mind here.
