As you can see already and there will probably be more of them, a good amount of it probably comes as a result of the attitudes and accusations from the Cap parents on here. Until that changes, I would expect there will be more.

I really don't think those accusations are coming from real cap parents I think they're coming from wannabes and trolls.

Anonymous boards are useless. You never know who is saying what.

Nah, seems like Cap parents. All with the same "sorry your daughter got cut", "envy/jealousy", "bitter their kid got cut", yada. Mixed in with "my daughter loves Capital and teammates", etc.

2028 parents I have met over the years have been generally good people. The people I know would not wish failure or mock a teenage girl for not making a team. The snark and sometimes nasty comments have been good for ratings, but I don't feel like it is real.

Yeah, it’s all fake.

Fellas, don’t forget to place your bets on scores and player stats for the games this weekend. I’m also taking action on freshman players making varsity.

Jealousy can lead to hate.

Jealousy can lead to hate.
Handling yourself better would lead to a lot less of the latter. To the former, again probably doesn't exist in a rotten form if you handle yourself better. But you do you.

There is the hate right on queue.

Right. Someone says handle yourself better so that = hate.

That's not a normal conclusion anyone would make. As I told the OP, as long as it's around, it's that attitude that explains the "hate".

OMG, lighten up people. It's not that important.

Personally there were a few surprises to make capital this year and there may be some changes to that team next summer. The bigger question is going to be how many spots are open for our daughters. With roster limits going into effect and coaches holding some spots for transfers how does that impact the 28s.
Only about 27 or so teams will be under the roster limitations unless a non-power 5 school decides to opt in to the terms so they can share revenue (with football and basketball players, mostly). It's unclear how many schools will opt in. A school like UConn might. Or Georgetown if they ever expect to win in basketball again.

But I doubt there will be a lot. So power conference schools, only like 7 of them are over 38 as of now. For a total of 18 roster spots.
Answer: unlikely you see any effect.

This is not true. Teams will not have the option to opt out and 38 man roster is coming. 2025’s are currently having verbal commitments revoked. Hopefully it will be sorted out a little before the 2028’s recruiting year but I expect smaller recruiting classes.

The settlement only involves about 27 D1 teams. That leaves about 100 of them that aren't involved. Several of those will opt in to pay athletes, but probably very few of the 100 group.

As of the most recent rosters of those 27 teams, only about 7 of them (don't recall exactly, looked a couple weeks ago) had rosters over 38. The total number of roster spots over 38 was 18 from those 7 schools. Look up those 27 schools from the power 5 conferences and see if you come up with a different number.

“Nah” guy with all the answers is back. How fortunate we are. Why is there Capital hate? Because of this guy. “Nah” guy. Balto boys loathe Capital, the newcomer, going toe-to-toe with them.

Are you kidding me? Find one example of an unprovoked comment from a Capital defender. We’ll wait.
