Only about 27 or so teams will be under the roster limitations unless a non-power 5 school decides to opt in to the terms so they can share revenue (with football and basketball players, mostly). It's unclear how many schools will opt in. A school like UConn might. Or Georgetown if they ever expect to win in basketball again. But I doubt there will be a lot. So power conference schools, only like 7 of them are over 38 as of now. For a total of 18 roster spots. Answer: unlikely you see any effect. |
2028 forum has risen! |
I think you will see some girls move up from Orange next year. |
Nice try. Blue is just fine. Sorry your daughter did not make it. |
Haha, just watch. There will be changes. |
Keep thinking that when your daughter gets cut! Enjoy watching Hero’s FTW! |
How nasty is this? I hope it’s a kid. |
It's not. Its a Dad |
You may be right, but don’t underestimate a lax mom’s ability to be mean as well. |
Can't wait to see both Capital teams get crushed this tourney season. |
why? What possible reason can you be so vindictive? Only possible reason is its personal. So your kid was cut from Capital? |
This post is self-indicting. Careful now, karma can be unforgiving. Rational people wish the best for players from the area both on and off Capital teams. |
I will ask again - why do people hate Capital so much? I don't see any other team get this level of hate. |
Envy & Jealousy on full display with the Capital Hate. It is probably the same few people that hop around on posts trashing on Capital. All the Capital parents/players I've talked to are great and very happy! The players on all the teams look like they get along well and enjoy each other's company and friendship. Haters gonna hate! Go Capital! My kid loves being on capital whether they win a game or lose a game she loves her teammates! |
Yep. Same 4-5 embittered dads. Frustration over their daughter not making it, layered in with some personal issues. I know several families that had been pointing towards Capital for a few years and it didn't work out. They moved on and focused on the future with other good clubs. Daughters are doing well and will be successful. The bitter posters should take note. As the PP noted, karma is tough. No matter what, it's definitely not the fault of families or kids who did make it and are playing for a great club with amazing recruiting results. To root for kids to lose, when they had no role in the selection, and in many cases miss playing with friends who didn't make it, is ridiculous. Get a grip. |
