The problem with Bernie: he's not much of a Democrat

Anonymous
Bernie declined to say if he'd rally his supporters to back Hillary in the general election:

Setting aside the fact that he hasn't exactly run a 50-state campaign, I think Bernie makes it clear in this interview that he's really not much of a Democrat.

He's what I want the Democrats to be. I hope it happens. Because the Dems present themselves with a veneer of progressivism, they might as well walk the walk AND talk the talk. But they don't want to give up their mainlining source of $$$. It's all about power.

i don't get this. He's a socialist. Form a socialists party if you don't like the democrats.

Democratic socialists.

I think of Sanders as many things. No, he's not a god, no he's not infallible, no he's not perfect, and no, I don't agree with him on everything.

I do see him as a whistleblower. I think he can clean up the Democratic party. I think he exposes corruption and cronyism that is that core of the Democratic machine (no, still not as sh!tastic as the GOP, but that's not a high bar, is it). I think there is a level of "willful blindness" that the party faithful submit themselves to, and it permits the "establishment" to run as it has for along time with the apparent support (really, just blindness) of the people.

The Occupy Wall Streeters had enough. Black Lives Matter had enough. I think this group is growing.

I'm sorry Sanders offends you. On the other hand, maybe that's what means he's doing his job.

Are you seriously suggesting that BS is helping BLM? Because, no.

no. not saying that.

I don't get why people want him out of the race so badly. Just let him stay in until it's over. What's the big deal with that?

The Republicans are arguing about who is a "true conservative" and the Democrats are arguing about who is a "true Democrat". Do we all have to fit into neat little boxes? Can't we think outside the box a bit? Aren't these parties and politics dynamic? Because our country sure as heck is not the same as it was.

Truly, I wouldn't care so much about Bernie had he been a Democrat for any length of time. If the soul of the Democratic Party were so important to him, you'd think he see fit to be one prior to a Presidential campaign.

Yep, I agree with this. To the PP, are you gonna walk the walk? Pay all that "progressive-ism" with higher taxes? Probably not...

Most important...he's older than dirt. Too old to be running.

"Old" is relative. Some people bite the dust at 70. Some live to be 100. Some don't have any sense at age 50. Some have all kinds of sense at age 25. BS does not seem to have an "old" problem. He seems to be running just fine. Are you his doctor?

Yes, absolutely. And I'd like to see the mucky-muck corporations pay taxes, a lot more taxes, too. I think it's the right thing to do.

I saw a video of him running in the airport to catch his next flight. Seemed pretty fleet of foot for an old guy. Certainly doesn't seem to have an old brain, unless what's old is new, so we're confused...
