After a lot of thought, I've decided I'm leaving DCUM forever. I wonder if I ever should've signed up. I am of the Far-Right. DCUM is on the Left. My presence here does me no good. By this time next year, I'll know where I'm headed to college, and I'll let you guys know. I'll make my prediction and say that if its Hillary vs. Trump, Trump wins the WH. I'd love to see a Trump/Buchanan ticket, but it'll probably be Trump/Sessions. Goodbye DCUM. |
You have it backwards. Joining a site where everyone agrees with you would do you no good. Might make you feel good but you can't grow inside of a bubble.
Come back when you become more tolerant. |
We're not all lefties. Have a good time at college. Don't let liberals retard your mind. Remember, be a leader not a follower. |
NP. Everyone? How about just not getting deleted so often for hitting that un-PC nail on the head? Et tu? |
But if you're coming back to inform users here about your college selection, you won't be leaving the site "forever." |
Good choice. You seem destined to lose our bet! ![]() Good luck at school. Try to keep an open mind when you meet new people. Maybe your personna here is just one small facet of your personality already, but just in case it's not, consider developing other aspects, because most people you meet will not want to bicker about politics this much. Make sure your political leanings are just one of the decorations on your cake, not the cake itself. |
Perhaps consider practicing your own advice. |
OP here Our bet is still going. |
Trust me, I do. Outside of this forum, I rarely talk party politics at all. I work in a somewhat politically charged office, so any political discussions I'm around tend to be about process rather than substance. It's considered bad form to talk substance. |
NP here: I'd not part company with DCUM because the participants in the political forum lean left.
As a liberal, I find the postings by some conservatives to be quite interesting ...... but then I am not the stereotypical liberal in that I actually do visit right wing sites occasionally and even listen to the evening news on Fox because I just want a different perspective from the liberal news outlets that are my more usual haunts. I have even posted that I don't blame the Republicans one bit for obstructing the confirmation of Garland .... because if the shoe were on the other foot, I'd want a senate controlled by Democrats to do the very same thing if a Republican president were to nominate someone that would change the balance on the court between liberals vs conservatives. Yes, I think the so called "Biden rule" does not cease to have relevance just because we have a Republican senate and a Democratic president! |
If you get deleted often, you are doing something wrong. There are plenty of people who manage to say pretty outrageous things here. |
OP, hope you manage to grow as a PERSON, not as a conservative. Your skew is already pretty bad when you are dismissing Reagan-era conservatism as "leftist BS."
|
Good luck in college. You need an education. |
Ditto. And be careful in college. If you don't tow the liberal line, they will crucify you grade-wise, etc. You are best off to get your degree and take on the world as an educated individual. So speak your mind, but understand when it is wise to do so. And make sure you attend CPAC every year. Full of young folk like yourself. You will find a great group of friends in them. |
Just curious--which right-leaning forums do you frequent? |
