OP here Don't worry about me. It's more than likely I'll be going to a conservative college.(unless I attend Trinity) |
Enjoy high school! So long! |
Zzzzzzzzzz |
Lemme guess - you're trying to get into Hillsdale for more of the far right wing extremist Kool-Aid. Selection Bias / Confirmation Bias... |
Ah, yes... liberal physics, liberal calculus, liberal chemistry, all those damned liberal college professors ![]() ^ That's sarcasm, y'all. |
You've got a lot to learn, kid. I hope that college broadens your horizons. It's going to be a huge shock to you when you get out in the real world and find that being a rich white boy it's a good thing anymore. Maybe 20 years ago, but those days are gone.
Open your mind a bit. It will do you some good. |
OP here Here's what my college list looks like 1. Hampden-Sydney College 2. Patrick Henry College 3. Hillsdale College 4. New St. Andrews College 5. Trinity College (naybe) |
Wait you're only in HS? Oh you have a long life ahead of you. I wonder if you'll always be so entrenched in your beliefs. Good luck on your journey. |
snort |
Not exactly colleges that are in screaming demand among mainstream employers. |
Good luck OP.
DCUM is frustrating at times, but I do like to come here and see what people who think differently than I do are talking about. I am a conservative too. |
OP, agree with PP that we're not all lefties here. Just want to say (given your moniker) that I found marksdailyapple.com through DCUM. It's changed my life.
I also found the town and neighborhood to live in when I moved to the DC area through DCUM, as well as other miscellaneous but very helpful things from dealing with my kids to finding someone to fix my broken necklace. Someone recommended a book that has basically fixed my relationship with my teenager (guess who had to change her behavior? Me! ha ha) You have to be selective about what posts you read, keep your focus, and don't get caught up in the banter. DCUM is good training for college in that way! Good luck to you! |
Don't bother letting us know where you're going to school - we don't care. |
If people can't recognize that others have different life experiences, different worldviews and valid opinions that differ from their own, then they are setting themselves up for an entire lifetime of self-inflicted frustration. Unless you enjoy punishing yourself, you are far better off trying to open your mind and walking that mile in another person's shoes. |
I hope you are also in high school and not an adult posting this. Even if OP's views are far right, I think it's great that a high schooler is engaged in politics. |
