Pay-to-Play Sport at Private HS employing club coach - what's normal?

More than five years later, exactly zero has changed. Gibbs still restricts his players' offseason activities and a small handful of parents get upset about it (even though they agreed to those rules when they signed up, most are just mad that their kid doesn't get any playing time because they're not good enough). Players leave but are replaced easily. SJC is No. 1 again. Wash, rinse and repeat.

Youth sports are a mess . The adults involved are looking to make money. Very few care about children.

If your goal is to win a championship, SJC baseball does that well. Many players commit to play in college. I do know great baseball players who chose to go elsewhere because of this racket though.

Yes, this. My DS went through this program 10 years ago and he, and we, knew exactly what we were signing up for.

We talked to SJC years ago and went to WJ instead. Best decision ever.
