They may be able to suppress votes that come in after the 3rd but were postmarked before, even if that is wrong, but they cannot disallow counting votes that were in by the 3rd.

We'll see what happens. We need a decision on Tuesday night. The Nation needs that. The Nation always has that. It's what the law says, just so you understand.

So we'll see. We're looking at things very strongly.

This kind of shit is the reason Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act required preclearance for any change that affects election procedures.
CJ Roberts said discrimination like this was all in the past.

I love how so many celebrate originalism and how these apparently brilliant justices are supposed to rule exclusively on the letter of the law and here we have the chief justice thinking predicting the future is part of his job.

And he gets it wrong.

Fancy that, eastern PA, 85% delays, western PA, no delays.

While I certainly believe every vote legally cast should be counted, I will laugh if Trump ends up shooting the whole GOP in the foot with this.

What law are you talking about?

Your words are marked and but your conclusion is wrong. What will happen is all of America will turn up to run interference where the GOP refused. He only won battles by deceit in the past, but we win the war. Don’t ever forget that.

I was 'imitating' Trump. Or trying to... I'm not going to try to find it now, but within the past week Trump either tweeted or said on camera that counting late ballots is against the law or some nonsense.

The fact that this $hitshow is happening under his watch is something Cheetolini conveniently sidesteps.

So let's tease this out. Poll workers want to stay safe, so they will wear masks to protect each other. But if others are not wearing masks and there is no mask mandate, then the poll workers won't feel safe. If the poll workers don't feel safe, then the polls cannot open. If the polls do not open, then the people planning to vote on Election Day (mostly republican Trump supporters by all accounts) won't be able to vote.

So...win?

I call him a potted plant, but he’s a noxious one. That one that smells like a cadaver when it blooms. Purple loosestrife. Giant hogweed. Although given that point white hood of a decision, perhaps “white snakeroot” is the most apt name for him.
