With his screed against the Supreme Court this morning, it will be an interesting discussion around the SCOTUS table around what they do. I think moral answer is obvious. Are there 5 moral justices? The future of our republic rests on it.

This kind of shit is the reason Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act required preclearance for any change that affects election procedures.

2016 was the first election in which black turnout decreased in 20 years. It was also the first election after SCOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Act. It’s not a coincidence.

They may be able to suppress votes that come in after the 3rd but were postmarked before, even if that is wrong, but they cannot disallow counting votes that were in by the 3rd.

Last night the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots have to be in by 8pm on Election Day, contrary to the instructions of the ballots themselves. It's outrageous.
