Not happening. Plan accordingly.

Grow up. You have no idea.

You grow up and handle your kids.

Nope. Early release days will remain as scheduled.

Hopefully they update the grade book

Honestly, do you think the teachers control the calendar? Those decisions are made much higher on the food chain
Stop blaming the teachers for everything.

You guys gotta get a life. Nobody has been at school since December 20. The grades aren’t getting updated today ? Just breathe and enjoy the snow day, or don’t, but chill out either way.

No because those trainings and modules aren’t even available to us to work through yet. At least at the high school level - they are being delivered to us on a ad hoc basis on those PD days, they don’t currently exist anywhere for us to access at our leisure. Also most of us left our devices and computers at school over break, even if I wanted to get ahead on those I couldn’t since I didn’t bring my computer home. The calendar is set and isn’t changing because we’re using some of our built in snow days.

That is complete bull. Most teachers bring their computers home on a nightly basis to keep up with emails and grades at home. It is very odd to leave your computer at school for 2 weeks over the break. You purposely left it. Very odd.

Snow totals seem lower than predicted. Disappointed.

They are plowing my cul-de-sac. I don't know who they are kidding because it will snow much more today. DD is really disappointed.

I have worked for FCPS for almost 10 years and rarely bring my laptop home. I can access almost all the files from my home device. There’s been no purpose to drag a computer home.

There are people in the county without kids who are still going to work this morning.

Sticking with my off Monday and Tuesday and back in Wednesday with a two hour delay. News flash also it’s going to snow today and some tonight. This is not over. But no chance for the week that’s for sure.

Of course I purposely left it, I never claimed otherwise. I do not work over break, why would I bring it home??

Are you just pulling s h I t from your butt or do you have some link you’d like to quote? Are you one of those “It just feels like xyz is happening…?”

Here is Capital Weather Gang’s post from 6:30am

If you're just waking up, 3-6" of snow has already fallen across much of the DC area. We're well on our way to 6-12"

Some totals are shown here.
