So dumb. The heat will be turned on for community use this weekend.

What’s dumb is not realizing that FCPS schools are heated/cooled in zones.

Hoping the forecast changes. I have 2 Dr appointments that I have been waiting for scheduled that day. Would like to avoid having to bring kids with me if it's a situation where the schools close but everything else is open.

With 4-8" of snow, the doctor's office may be open but most everywhere else will be closed.

Where are you getting 4-8 inches? I'm seeing light snow showers.

My weather app says 8-9 inches

“Closed” for the whole week, because it will be too cold. Online classes like the good old days.

Nope. Snow day means snow day.

Stop using weather apps. There is absolutely no certainty on a Monday storm right now and there won't be until Friday, probably.

+1 NWS says "possibility" of snow showers. And, PP is correct. It is way too early to plan on a snow day.

Everyone is just talking, no one has planned anything.

DC snow hole. Model predictions hardly ever take that into account, but meteorologists will (not the announcers on radio, TV and social media, but real mets). So before making weather decisions, source yourself a meteorologist who knows our area. Like Capital Weather Gang.

There are no more online classes. The governor has said that online school does not count toward school. If school is canceled, there is no school.

Reston says 8-10 inches.

I live in Reston, it says one inch.

I just checked my phone and typed in Reston on the weather app. It says 6-7 inches of snow for Monday.
