He clearly liked going out for hamburger when he had steak at home.

I have plenty of money to eat filet mignon multiple times a week. But ya know what? Sometimes you just crave a sloppy and messy double patty smashburger.

This was many years ago probably 1999/2000. I wonder if Taylor was as much of a dog as grohl or maybe his vice was just the drugs. He always seemed like the sweeter/kinder one.

Again with the naivety!

All these guys slept around. Taylor talked about it.

Doesn’t mean they aren’t also nice people who can do good things as well.

When did Taylor talk about it? I always was more attracted to Taylor than Dave. Loved that he played with alanis morrisette for years.

Some people lack a moral compass and act on impulse.

He talked about how on the tour with Alanis he and the other dudes in the band were banging groupies all the time and Alanis got mad at them when she found out.

Taylor and Dave told this story about how they drove from CA to VA around 2000 or so and stopped at strip clubs along the way.

You’ve got to just accept that all these guys sleep around. It comes with the territory.

That doesn’t make them 100% evil people. Doesn’t take away from Taylor’s work with public schools or Dave’s work with the homeless.

It does make them people I would personally never marry. But YMMV and many women choose to overlook it.

I’m guessing he was visiting the baby…and the mom is somehow linked to the struts (maybe dated or married to someone in the band).

Huh? Why would the baby be connected to a band they toured with in 2017? The baby was just born.

There’s a pp that said the mother was known by grohl and his wife since 2017.

And the struts were based in LA during covid. Sounds like they were hanging out with the grohl family and bonded.

Regardless, why was grohl at Wimbledon? Cover for a random trip to London? I bet the mother lives in London.

His wife was sitting stone-faced next to him at Wimbledon.

There are pics of them laughing together there too.

Let’s not overanalyze.

Dave is really funny looking!

God, he is so unattractive. I always thought he was weird looking.

And I bet you’re drop dead gorgeous.

How the mighty judge on here …

Well projecting doesn't make him any cuter. It doesn't matter what pp looks like. We are talking about Dave.

DAVE GROHL’s ex-girlfriend, L7’s JENNIFER FINCH, says she stands behind the FOO FIGHTERS frontman amid controversy.

According to TMZ, Finch is staying firmly in Grohl’s corner after he announced on Tuesday that he fathered a daughter outside of his marriage. While fans around the world were shocked by the news, Finch has stepped up to defend him, calling him a top-tier dad and friend.

Finch went on to say that Grohl is, in the words of TMZ, “doing everything he can for his family, giving it his all in spite of the messy situation.”

Despite the fact that Finch is Grohl’s ex - with the two having dated in the ‘90s while Grohl was still with Nirvana - the two have remained close friends. Just this year, Finch’s band L7 even toured with the Foo Fighters, giving Finch a first hand look at Grohl’s family dynamic.

With all due respect, who cares what Finch has to say on this front? So she thinks he’s a great guy despite his track record of cheating on his committed partners and serial womanizing. So she has set a low bar for him and thinks that apologizing for fathering a baby outside of marriage is “doing everything he can”. Clearly Dave Grohl’s PR team is quite desperate to get someone to say nice things about him.

I mean, I wouldn’t necessarily assume she was put up to it.

You act like his cheating is unusual. You realize it’s the norm in entertainment, right?

Who cares if cheating is “the norm”??? Why do so many posters respond with this? It’s a despicable thing to do. Period.

You know what is also pretty “normal” in that it happens frequently and to nearly 1/3 of women - rape. Is that ok? 1/4 women will face physical violence apart from rape. It’s pervasive so that’s ok? Just because something happens a lot doesn’t make it ok.

Cheating and infidelity is morally reprehensible, even if it’s common. You’re betraying someone’s trust and usually doing so through emotional abuse which includes repeated lying and deception, gaslighting, and manipulation to get away with it. Not to mention that when you sleep around with people unprotected, you risk STDs and giving those to your spouse.

Stop saying “oh it’s the norm”. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t excuse Dave Grohl and make this situation any less gross. Feel sad for his wife and three daughters. What a tragedy for them.

I’m not attempting to excuse it. I’m just trying to understand whether you have this same reaction to all the other rock stars who have done the same thing.

Not to every 'rocker' like Mick Jagger but, ones who make a big show of what a wonderful husband and father they are!

So you’re more ok with the ones who are just open about being jerks in all areas of their lives?

Want me to over analyze your life?

Either you condemn them all or you decide you don’t care about any of it. But you’re getting way too precious right now.

I never said it was 'ok' but, we are talking about what is 'expected' Jagger has always been a cheater and never said otherwise. Apparently, Grohl was too but, liked to pretend him was a 'good guy' Both are scum in my opinion.

Also, I am a complete unknown. Why would anyone want to discuss my life? It is pretty basic. Married for 30+years ( happily) never cheated. I drive the speed limit and break for animals and people. I want all wars to end and there to be world peace. I wish people would treat each other nicely in person and online...hint hint

Happy? In the end I am not keeping up awake about either 'gentlemen' This is just a discussion board and we are allowed to discuss things that do not directly involve our lives.

I think you are pretty low to bring my personal life into the discussion.

Okay fine but Taylor didn’t get married until after Dave and he was single when with Alanis and in 2000. Not saying he didn’t sleep around but that’s not amoral in my book to sleep with groupies when your are single.

But I agree that rock stars are often scum bags that get put on a pedestal because their music transports us.

I remember they played a show in our town and my friend saw them out getting food and they bought her lunch! She said they were total babes to her and so sweet.

Sounds like his wife wasn’t so comfortable with it.

But I agree that rock stars are often scum bags that get put on a pedestal because their music transports us.

She married him after his infidelity was known and stayed married to him for at least 23 years, if not longer. I’m not sure it’s up to us to make assumptions about how she feels.
