Help - Maret vs. Sheridan for K????

| Got admitted to Sheridan and Maret for K and we're elated because we are in love with them both for totally different reasons. If you had to choose, which one would you pick? Why? |

We started our child at Sheridan in K. We looked at a lot of schools (Maret, GDS, Sidwell, WIS), but in the end, we were sold on the K-8 model. Choosing a school that was right for my 5 year old made me realize that I did not want to, at the same moment in time, choose his high school. Sheridan has excellent outplacement and a focus on helping kids really understanding themselves as learners. I am confident that my son will be able to make an excellent choice for high school (with support from his teachers and his parents, of course).
Our gut feeling let us to enroll him at Sheridan. That said, Maret is a great school, and we hope that it is on his list when he looks for high school. So, follow your gut. Go to the accepted families events. You can't make a bad choice here. Good luck, and congratulations! |

| @14:20 and 14:40 - DC is a girl, no siblings. Both seem academically challenging. Maret of course is larger with more to offer in its curriculum at later stages. Sheridan seems more intimate, and can be more flexible with its curriculum. |
