Help - Maret vs. Sheridan for K????

Or, to look at it another way, your DC may have gotten an outright rejection if your K-8 school had not been advocating for you.

We are a Maret family and so love the school, how happy our daughter is, how articulate and interesting the kids become as they get older, and frankly, the parents who we enjoy spending time with every time the opportunity affords. Best of luck with two great options.

Maret! My daughter went to Sheridan and we loved it for the warmth and ease it was for her to go there but academically it is mediocre. Maret is excellent and you are so fortunate to have gotten in. Good luck with your decision.

Maret and Sheridan take very different teaching styles. I'm surprised that is not a key factor for more people.

Agreed. We toured both (and liked both), but we definitely preferred Sheridan, largely because we had a strong preference for a progressive school. Maret's teaching style was more traditional.

Are you speaking from direct experience that the Maret LS experience is "excellent" ? How do you know this, and what can you tell us about it?

Sheridan's outplacements are great every year. If academics were mediocre, Sheridan students wouldn't have their pick of the top high schools like Maret, GDS and Sidwell.

I'm not PP, but I am a current LS parent and the experience IS excellent! I have children at 2 different schools and the contrast really highlights how much better Maret is for us. I love all the teachers and everything is very well planned and executed on the administration side. It's hard for me to give concrete examples without publicly identifying myself... I can say the times DC has has any problems, the response has been incredible.
