Can anyone recommend a TV show that a 16 month old would watch? My DS doesn't watch TV right now, but we need to put an eye patch on him for an hour a day and the doctor recommended distracting him with TV. We don't have cable so it has to be on Hulu or Netflix or Youtube. Ideas? I think he would like something with a lot of music and dancing.

Anything with Elmo.
barney. make way for noddy is on netflix. (it's a 10-12 minute show, which i liked.) daniel tiger.

Netflix has some shows that are Crayons coloring pages, music plays, etc. Super basic and annoying for parent, but my younger kids were mesmerized. Called "Color Crew".

How about a stroller walk?
Daniel Tiger.
Daniel Tiger or Curious George
Go to YouTube and type in "Little Baby Bum."
Tv isn't recommend until after 2 years.
Oh, and Yo Gabba Gabba
My 17 month old loves Sesame Street, especially the parts with Elmo. Sesame Street was on Netflix until last month, sadly it is no longer there. But there are some free seasons on Amazon if you have Prime.
Op here - thanks for all the recommendations! I will try them all out!

The eye doctor must usually have older patients. That advice doesn't make sense for a 16 mo old who could be distracted by all kids of things.
Is the suggestion intended to keep your toddler from trying to remove the patch or is there some visual reason why watching a screen is advised? |
