If the terrorists surrendered and released their hostages there would be no further civilian casualties, but where are the pro-Palestinian appeals for such actions? There are none - it's all about how bad the Israelis are for responding decisively to terror.

+100. Also, one cannot compare the hostages who committed no crime to those detained by Israel for terrorist acts. Sadly there are children who have attempted terrorism too because they were indoctrinated to think terrorism was noble from an early age. Once Hamas is gone there will need to be de-radicalization. This whole projection of everything Hamas terrorists do onto the IDF is part of the psychological warfare.

But what "terrorist acts" have the Palestinian detainees supposedly committed? Why are we supposed to take Israel's word for it that they are terrorists when they are never charged? "Administrative detention" is a secret process and rife with abuses. How is it different from what Hamas did? What "terrorist act" did Dr. Al Bursch or Mosab Abu Toha commit? Both were abducted by Israel and tortured. It appears Dr. Al Bursch was raped to death. For what? It is explicitly racist to trivialize these human rights abuses while excoriating Hamas for what they did on 10/7. And we know Israel has an unwritten policy of extrajudicial executions of journalists. That, too, is no better than what Hamas has done.

The allegations regarding the rape of Dr. Al Barush are by Francesca Albanese, an incredibly corrupt member of the UN accepting expensive free trips from pro-Hamas groups and she never disclosed her husband's ties to the Palestinian authority, the group that does pay for slay of Jews. If you have a more credible source, I would like to see it (and not Al Jazeera funded by Qatar).

Agree. We never hear the end of the supposed rapes on 10/7, but when there is actual video evidence of rape in Sde Teiman, there was a public outcry in Israel over the fact that nine Israeli soldiers were detained. If Israel has clean hands over Dr. Al Bursch's death, why don't they invite neutral parties to observe his autopsy, make the cause of death known, and return his body to his family? That would settle the question. We should all be outraged that his death is being clouded in secrecy.

Palestinians in Gaza didn’t go to a town hall and decide to bomb Israel. Hamas acted alone and From what I understand, not even the Hamas upper command in Qatar knew about 10/7. Sinwar and his brother kinda acted alone with their own Hamas comrades and 10/7 was their 1/6 rebellion and coup against Hamas in Qatar who were quite ok with the billions they made in Qatar and the status quo with Israel. Qatar supposedly wiretaps the Hamas in Doha so there’s no way Qatar, an Israel and Us ally, wouldn’t have told Israel if they knew Hamas in Qatar were planning things. Secrecy is the biggest problem
In Gaza. Hamas makes their members make a vow of secrecy so even among family members, nobody knows who is Hamas or who isn’t. Hamas assumes anyone can be working for the Israelis so it’s best to keep membership undercover. This is what makes beating Hamas incredibly hard for both Gazans and for Israelis. They don’t have an army as they’re not a country so they don’t have a uniform. You don’t really know who is Hamas and who isn’t so Gazans can’t really fight back against something they don’t know. The average Gazans aren’t aware of where the tunnels are and Hamas is masked when they do show up. It’s like a mystery as to who is Hamas. Supposedly many doctors are part of Hamas undercover because Hamas pays for their medical school, and they have the most distaste for Israel because they see the horrific injuries but then again, there are many secular pro Israeli Gazan doctors who advocated for Zoom calls with Israeli doctors and friendship over retaliation.

The point is nuance here exists and Hamas has intentionally designed themselves and their hideouts to be unbeatable. Israel is finding this out after years of waving Hamas off as stupid or unsophisticated because they don’t have the technology. Israel’s obsession with technology is their biggest blind spot. Technology doesn’t mean anything on the ground game. Military IQ is much bigger than that

Martyrdom coming from the country that has a mandatory military draft?

Hamas nor any other Palestinian movement doesn’t draft Palestinian boys or girls after high school. They can run around and play soccer all day for all anyone cares

The ones that join a terror group are there because they want to be there of their own volition and because they understand dying may occur and are ok with that. That makes them very dangerous mentally because they don’t draft half hearted countrymen.

How many IDF would really want to be in Gaza right now rather than at a nightclub, gay bar or beach in tel Aviv?

The ones that are most passionate about killing Arabs are sitting there among Arabs in the West Bank apparently not wanting to move to proper Israel or its army and unwilling to contribute to their so called promise land’s army
