In one of the articles, a neighbor is quoted as saying they did not think or know the the roommate is transgender. I think it is being inferred and there is no confirmation. My very straight husband wears pink.

In the Daily Mail article, the roommate’s grandfather, when asked if grandson is transgendered says something along the lines of he doesn’t want to comment on that and doesn’t know what his exact situation is. I don’t know how reliable that is, but is he wasn’t transgendered I think that would be easy to say no he isn’t.
