+1 Still waiting...

nobody has answered because it is a stupid question.

They could call Mike Pompeo. But, what would he testify about? Or, they could call Ben Carson. But, again, about what?
Nope, they won't call these people because the goal of this committee is to discredit this president. It's all about 2020. Do as much damage as possible so there is no way he will be reelected. You don't bring people who have positive things to say about the president - like Lynne Patton - because it doesn't help their cause.

Only bring convicted liars and cheats like Cohen. Because, he will do anything for a buck.

Here’s the problem. Cohens testimony has corroborating evidence from the Mueller investigation.

And yet Trump made him his personal lawyer. Huh. Go figure. What kind of judgment does that show?

Poor judgement. Now can we agree that they're both liars and that Cohen's "testimony" is not to be believed?

Well goodness. If they're both liars -- for sure -- then we can't believe anything the president says either.

Also if Cohen is lying he's not really that great at it. I mean, he could have made up some real tall tales that would have been even better for selling books, as someone else accused him of doing. He could have said that it was true Trump hit Melania or Trump paid women for abortions or that Trump has a love child. Why would someone outright lying in everything he said not flair it up more?

You don't see that for what it is? Really? Do you think there has been a peaceful transition of power since Clinton lost?

Did a war break out that I’m unaware of? Interrupting Sarah Sander’s burrito isn’t exactly a civil war inciting offense. Did the joint chiefs seize the White House while I was napping?

Do you believe this transition of power has been peaceful?

DP. Yes, absolutely.

Do you feel that Trump stole the election through collusion with Russia?

The fact that Trump pursued Trump Moscow Tower deal through 2016, lied about it publicly and even sought Putin's direct help in the middle of the campaign is extremely significant. That public lie alone is classic definition of kompromat Putin had on Trump.

I don't know. I think that we want to find out, and Trump and the GOP are doing their damndest to stop that from happening. I find that suspicious.

Did you find Cohen's testimony a bit to 'pat'?

I found him believable based on what I know about Trump so far.

If he didn't then he and the GOP ought to be supporting Mueller full stop, to clear any ambiguity about what happened. Since the GOP has been nothing but obstruction from the get-go, it raises even more suspicions.

He didn't steal the election.
And, the reason Trump and the GOP are against this investigation is because of what precipitated its beginning. There was no crime - there was a dossier. An unverified dossier. And, some leaders at the FBI who had an "insurance plan."
And, if you think this investigation has benefited this country - you have a warped view of what this country is about.

And, BTW - Michael Cohen was never in Prague.

That's called confirmation bias. It's a real thing.

Mr. Lanny Davis...would that be the friend of the Clintons?!

I don't understand why Cohen brought up Khan family, John McCain, Charlottesville, the usual Dem talking points. He offered nothing new today. We are back to Stormy.

NEWS: Michael Cohen identified Donald Trump Jr. as "Executive-2" in SDNY's charging documents. That's not correct: Executive-2 is Trump Org controller Jeffrey McConney, according to people familiar with the matter. @mrothfeld

He had to make his testimony as incendiary as possible - more money for a book deal down the road.

Cohen was the Finance Chair for the RNC. By calling him out, the GOP is only undermining its own credibility.

He offered evidence of bank fraud, property tax evasion and misuse of charitable funds. He has either already told SDNY about these things or they will ask him now. If they can't verify his answers, he will face additional charges of lying to Congress and all hope for a reduced sentence will be shot.

He has no reason to lie now and every reason not to.

There is nothing Cohen testified about that wasn't already known and cleared by SDNY.
