What I think they realize is that calling people who want to take stronger action to contain illegal immigration "white nationalists" is an attack intended to get more Democrat votes that is backfiring,

Sort of like when Schumer was ready to shut down the government (and cause hardship to hundreds of thousands of hard-working GS 5, 6, 7 employees who depend on timely pay to feed their families) over the interests of DACA adults (who Re acting entitled rather than appreciative). He realized that he was telling Americans that their ability to feed their families and pay the rent was not as important to him (and Democrats) as were the interests of illegal immigrants. It's interesting that at least that behavior seems to have tapered off somewhat. I think people are finally realizing that you can be 100% against illegal immigration and not be a "white nationalist." Kind of sad that it's taken them this long to get it.

What I think they realize is that calling people who want to take stronger action to contain illegal immigration "white nationalists" is an attack intended to get more Democrat votes that is backfiring,

Sort of like when Schumer was ready to shut down the government (and cause hardship to hundreds of thousands of hard-working GS 5, 6, 7 employees who depend on timely pay to feed their families) over the interests of DACA adults (who Re acting entitled rather than appreciative). He realized that he was telling Americans that their ability to feed their families and pay the rent was not as important to him (and Democrats) as were the interests of illegal immigrants. He backed off, as you'll recall.

I think that is the point. The conservative idiots who go on and on and on and on about how liberals want unchecked immigration are FOS. The vast majority of people recognize the need to have laws regarding immigration and ways to know who is coming into our country, for national security and other reasons.
