That cartoon looks like a parent problem to me, actually.

yes

And parents are sometimes (oftentimes?) a teacher's biggest problem.

Look who's started their job at Discovery Education. Too bad our kids lose out on a year of curriculum rollout so he could take that job.

What a dip. How do these MCPS people even survive in the private sector? Guess they’ll have to have their public sector dips buying from them.

If my kids had all As, last six years of teachers all day vague positive things at conferences, and then I give him an SSaT or math test and he can’t do one third of the things—> what is the problem? Not the kid, he thinks everything is peachy. Ignorant but peachy.

Awful. I still can't believe they're not going to be held accountable for the delays they have caused.

I'm banking on the higher end . . .

And don't forget retirement, which is about 60% of an average of an employee's three highest years.

The typical Discovery Communications Director, Discovery Education salary is $104,969. Director, Discovery Education salaries at Discovery Communications can range from $101,600 - $110,000.Feb 21, 2018

Can't MCPS blacklist Discovery from bidding on the new RFP because of all their conflicts of interest (and their role in the delays?) If they manage to win, there will be a huge outcry and the process may end up being even more delayed.

Discovery is now headquartered in NYC. It will not return to MCPS, as it will prey on larger systems with its broader exposure.

There's a pretty fast train from MCPS to NYC. Navarro made sure to absolve Discovery of all guilt in her statement cancelling the RFP. There's no way Discovery doesn't bid on this. Half their staff is from MCPS.

With three prominent members leaving Mcps bc they were dissatisfied
There’s no way they’ll return. The best way to “get back” at Mcps is to sell to bigger systems.

There are only 13 systems bigger than MCPS so that won’t be easy.

Dissatisfied with MCPS or lured away by a great offer based on their connections?
