Well said. In a state filled with so many democrats and so many lawyers, is he really really really the best the democrats can find? |
| He seems exceptionally immature. |
Yeah he can write some VERY strongly worded emails. We know he has the capacity to send some very strongly worded messages. |
| He texted these things to a Republican colleague. Imagine what he may have texted to democratic colleagues. |
Exactly. They know he is an actual POS and they have kept their mouths shut. |
Go check the Project 2025 Republican playbook. It's all spelled out in great detail. |
Sue Trump obviously. Just like they are doing in the normal states. |
+1 Republicans do not do anything in good faith. They know how Trump has been attacking people across the country. But they gaslight and pretend like it's not happening. Or worse, like Youngkin and Miyares, they support it. |
You think that Trump's policies that are hurting Americans are....lame? Miyares stands with Trump. Miyares has done nothing about Trump illegally withholding funding for our Virginia schools. Miyares has done nothing about tariffs. Miyares has done nothing about federal worker layoffs. Miyares will support Trump’s next Big Lie. Trump is escalating his attacks. We need someone who will stand up to him. Miyares has to go. |
Sue Trump for what specifically? |
No, it turns out he isn't. But that's really the question, is it? The question is whether he is better than the Republican AG candidate. I think yes. |
|
I think there have to be consequences for nominating obviously unsuitable candidates like Jay Jones.
I don't relish another four years of Miyares, but he hasn't embarassed himself either as a candidate or office holder in the same way that Jones has. Jones is probably the most immature candidate we've ever had running for a major office in Virginia. The only reason he is in this position is that he's the coddled son of two politically connected judges, and the only reason he hasn't already been forced to step aside is that Virginia Democrats don't want to offend Black politicians like Scott, Lucas, and Locke from Hampton Roads. |
Yes, obviously. They are the only options at this point. You either want to remove the MAGA malignancy or you don’t. |
We get that MAGAs don’t GAF about those things, but most voters do care about: Reckless federal worker layoffs Tariffs Attacks on k-12 Attacks on UVA and other colleges ICE terrorizing communities and Infringing on citizens’ and residents’ rights We need someone who won’t just go along with the next Big Lie. I’m concerned about what Trump might pull leading up to the 2026 elections. We need someone to stand up against this insanity, not just bend over. |

Will Miyares protect Virginia abortion rights?
Will Miyares help protect federal workers in this area? I notice he didn't join in other states that sued to prevent the Trump administration from dismissing so many employees without cause. Will he follow Pirro's D.C. initiative to refuse to bring federal charges for those who break gun laws? Will he protect LGBT Virginians? I do not like Jones, and his behavior is inexcusable, but at this point, I do not feel safe with anyone under the Republican umbrella. |
