I thought he was awfully full of himself, and very callous. Not impressed.

He was awful! Agree that he was so full of himself.

Why didn’t he hold everyone on the ship when they docked? I think that was a huge mistake! By the time they did a search of the cabin it was too late.

See I thought he came across as heartless on the show, given what we know in hindsight (woman was never seen by her family again), but I thought the idea he should lock the whole ship down was pretty nuts. There are 2500 people on vacation wanting to get off the boat, and nobody can move because . . . a twenty something who shut the bar down last night hasn't been seen by her dad in 90 minutes?

The parents are freaking out but if I work on the boat my assumption at that point is she is in someone else's cabin either still having fun or sleeping it off, not chopped into pieces or thrown overboard or whatever else.

True.

Good points! You’re right, at the time it was probably crazy to hold everyone but knowing that she was never seen again raises questions about the best protocols for people who do go missing on cruises.

+1. She was an adult. I actually think the ship would be easier to search when there are less guests onboard. The idea that she was smuggled off the boat is absurd and not how human trafficking works.

I remember this story and I watched the documentary. I guess I ultimately believe she fell overboard (maybe earlier/farther from shore than the timeline, which I don't think is reliable).

I can see why her family would want to turn over every stone. There are some strange circumstances surrounding her last night and then all those alleged eyewitness sightings. Such a terrible tragedy.
