Need the sport to continue to grow!

Western Reserve from Ohio knocked off St. Paul's yesterday.

Western Reserve is a complete and total holdback factory. I estimate 1/3 are double holdbacks who'd be ineligible for varsity sports their senior year in the dmv.

I was not aware of that...

A double hold back would equate to being a 19 year old or even a 20 year old senior in HS which is lame

We just played Culver. They got em. Who cares. Just play lacrosse!

Lars Tiffany down at UVA is known for recruiting defensemen who also play hoops or football.

In God We Trust. Everyone else bring data …

Supports your argument. Over 85% of professional laxers were multi sport. There are other data sets from the NCAA that aren’t lax specific, but sometimes the data lines up with common sense.

“Professional lacrosse athlete” is very close to being an oxymoron.

And the data is also missing the subset of the private school athlete being told he has to play a 2nd sport.

Can’t think of anything worse than being around year long lax bro culture from 7th grade on. With overpriced weak coaching. But do you! And you can ponder when top 20 programs aren’t interested in your kid

I dunno man. Seems like you can play one sport or a dozen but if you don’t have size, speed, hand/eye and agility you’re not going anywhere after high school. Though I would assume if you have those you’re playing a few sports, which has been our family’s approach all along mostly bc it’s more fun. Who knows. But the wider the pool, the more athletes there are to choose from. So to the original poster’s point that good lax is to be found everywhere now, that’s just getting increasingly proven each year.

Not according to Springside’s Director of Athletics but whatever, a loss is a loss.

Some big non league games with National implications.

Landon vs The Benjamin School down in Florida who just knocked off McDonogh. Benjamin is 12-0 and cracked the National Top 25 this week and that was prior to the McDonogh victory.

GP vs traditional New England power Taft. The Rhinos had a disappointing season last spring under their first year HC.

My DS is in eighth grade so I’m just gathering info. Does the school provide a stipend to families for these trips? Or are families expected to pay to go?

Expected.

Putting aside injury prevention and other multi-sport benefits.

Riding bench in another sport reminds lax kids that the world doesn't revolve around them.

Better to learn that early in life because almost nobody outside of our buddle cares about lacrosse.

Lars loves height not basketball players.
