Quite entertaining from a certain perspective. You vote ALWAY ALWAY ALWAYS for the one you like. On some level, people like Trump.

On the other hand, I think Harris will win this time around because institutions/business tends to favor Harris.

I voted for Trump but definitely don’t like him.

A vote for Trump is a vote against women and a vote for corruption. You must be proud.

Stop speaking for women. You don’t speak for me.

+1. Not all women want to kill their own children.

the parenting forum suggests otherwise!

This is a fairly grim thread, but this elicited a chuckle.

Very grim indeed with many truth deniers chiming in!

Harris, hands down. Most Americans don’t want MAGA. Lots of junk polls trying to skew the narrative but he’s gonna lose.

Amen. +100000.

I make $250k and I am constantly annoyed by the costs of eating out and food prices and everything in general. It's not that I can't afford it per se but it's totally the wrong direction for the country. I absolutely feel for those for whom grocery prices take their toll on. A family of 4 eating out for lunch is upwards of $75 with tip and I'm talking about an entree. No drinks no appetizers no desserts. Even I'm hurting and I make a lot. The state of our nation has not been made better by Biden and co. I don't believe Kamala's new talk about how she won't repeat his policies.

Thank you for the response to my post. Our household income is $350k which is very good compared to national average but not super affluent for this part of the country. We make do by being frugal, which doesn't always mean being 'cheap'. I mean frugal in the Jeff Smith ('the Frugal Gourmet' guy) way - which sometimes means buying quality stuff but still living simply.

Like you I'm not posting about myself but about the people in service industries like tradesmen and truck drivers who make less, but who are so critical to our economy.

Someone who had the privilege to take off to visit a clockmaker and a cobbler before having a mason come to their house is lecturing about how others live.

Can you please elaborate on how you thought I was lecturing on how people live? If I was sounding like that, I can go back and clarify. I'm actually celebrating the people in all parts of the economy who are vital, but who may be totally gutted by this inflation. That's why they're going to vote Trump.

It’s a fake poster. The cobbler, the watchmaker, horologist, stonemason— oh my, and King Arthur flour.

Hi. I'm not "fake" and I'm not sure what that means. I'm not a bot. I do frugally buy quality shoes that can be re-soled rather than always buying the cheapest, disposable products. I have one halfway decent Oris watch that was an anniversary present. I'm not sure that's exactly the lap of luxury. And yes I maintain my house. I mean, can you elaborate on that as well? When the grout is old and coming out on your house, do you not fix it? Or are you saying you do it yourself? I'm a DIY person for most things but don't have time to seal up all the stone so I'm paying someone to do it.

Also, what's the problem with King Arthur??? I really like the crumb that I get from cakes made with their stuff. I think it's a higher protein percent. What brand do you use?

These responses are all really weird. All I was trying to do was to point out how crazy the person sounded who went off the deep end about being "tired of hearing about inflation". That person made a really weird comment about people being hurt by inflation are all the lowlifes of the world who should have tried harder, and I think that's really uncharitable and indicative of why this election is going to the Republicans.

Trumps prob guilty of some responsibility for it but no way did he mind control all of those folks to do what they did, what he does is enable bad actors and he's not the first politician who is guilty of that. Maybe on US soil he is but make no mistake - what the US is allowing Israel to do to innocent Palestinians and let me reiterate 3 yr old children truly are not Hamas is also enabling a bad actor.

So get off your high horse with something that's over and done with. Your outrage is misguided. People make their own decisions doing good and evil daily.

He's faaaaaaaar from a good influence 100% and I'm not even pro Trump or voting for him but I see why voters are for him. I see why very clearly.

Wow. You should hold presidential candidates to a higher standard. You admit he was guilty of something and a bad influence…then you weee like, “I see why people like him.”

Trump will be so much worse for Palestine. You have no idea.

I don't think Trump had any direct involvement with organizing the group of people that stormed the Capitol that day. He is in no way directly responsible for their actions at the Capitol that day. What he is guilty of as confirmed by his children and closest staff members is dereliction of duty when he knew exactly what was going on as it happened yet refused to answer any pleas for help or do anything to assist in re-securing the Capitol. He basically just watched it unfold on TV and pretended not to be our Commander-in-Chief for 3 hours. Talk about showing your true colors for the whole world to see!

This is the primary reason Trump shouldn't be re-elected. It's an indisputable reason.

Trump will win. Bottom line, he is comfortable campaigning and he knows who he is and what he will do.

She finds the whole process excruciating. That’s why she seems so awkward and vacuous. People want to like her but she can’t connect. She is way out of her depth. She would be wise to decrease her exposure. No amount of additional practice with public appearances will help her at this point.

Harris by a wide margin.

Comfortable campaigning? Please watch the debate again. Harris was able to get him out of his comfortable campaigning zone every single time with ease. He is helpless and that is security threat. You insult him and he crumbles into an angry child. You flatter him and he is putty in your hands. It is pathetic. No thank you.

Why? Basing this opinion on early returns from swing state voting. No gut feeling; just the numbers that seem to indicate that.

Those votes have not been counted so how do you know how they voted?

The news reported that she spent two days off the campaign trail prepping for the CNN Town Hall. She couldn’t give a direct answer to anything. The nonstop laughing is immature. Even the host was getting fed up with her.

Hmmm . . .

AZ: T
NV: T
GA: H
NC: H
MI: H
WI: H (but barely)
PA: T (even closer than WI)
ME: 3-1 H
NE: 4-1 T

H wins, barely.

I think she is done with this process.

I am not even sure she wants this.

She is going to be a very hands off President. The woke league is going to control everything behind the scenes.

Yes, and he will be worse for Isis and the South American drug cartels too. That’s the point.
