He didn't do anything you just described. You're just making things up now. |
Correct. But we’d better vote blue in wide enough margins that the GOP monster is put out to pasture for good. |
If a Supreme Court staffer had done what Justice A-hole did, he or she would be fired. If a lower court judge did what Justice A-hole did, he would be held accountable by the Judicial Conference. |
You guys never understand the first amendment or anything about federal employees. Truly, if you’re not a Russian troll, you must be writing from the middle of nowhere and have never left your town or interacted with anyone outside your family. |
The original dispute was, in itself, political in nature. She was upset about the language on a political yard sign. She complained to/admonished neighbor and neighbor cursed her out. I’m sorry, but the idea that Mrs. Alito was using an upside down flag to summon aide because she was so distressed over a neighbor calling her a profane word is laughable. She wasn’t asking anyone to come to her rescue. She was making a statement to her neighbors. What do you think that statement was? I think it was “this country is going to hell in a hand basket,” and I think it had a lot to do with not just profanity, but the impending inauguration. You’re welcome to your own interpretation, but unless you know for sure that politics were never discussed between Mrs. Alito and the neighbor, I don’t know how you can completely dismiss any political angle. |
If any Executive Branch employee ever hung out a "Stop the Steal" or other pro-Trump flag they would be subject to prosecution under the Hatch Act, likely subject to dismissal and disbarment from Federal service along with fines. It's frankly sickening and outrageous that any other federal employee, like a Justice should be allowed to get away with it. |
| Rumor is Alito is a sovereign citizen. He does not have plates on his cars and such. |

The Post knew all about the flag at the time and failed to report on it. Also Martha Ann sounds insane.

When we tell you that the media is in the tank for the GOP, we mean it. |
+1 Sam Alito sounds like a greasy middle schooler who will blame anyone else for his actions. Because Occam’s razor here is that someone who sympathizes with overthrowing the government showed that, across several weeks and two locations, including one when someone actually had to purchase a special flag. In other words (another) seated SCJ is undermining the United States from within. |
That's a very big IF you're using as the basis for your position. Since that didn't happen, your argument is invalid. |
None of which is a news story. She is not a scotus judge. The fact that the Post sat on this until election year tells you the reality of the situation - it’s a non issue being blown up in left wing circles to try to get people who are unenthusiastic about Biden’s performance to vote. |
You seem confused. Alito’s wife, according to the Post, is the person who put up the flag upside down. Alito has no reason to recuse himself and he won’t. |
We know he won’t. He is the definition of corruption (second only to Thomas). His legacy is trashed. |
The same was said about Kavanaugh but the truth is life on SCOTUS will go on unaffected by all this. Much ado about nothing and ALL politics. |
