People who ruin neighborhoods (like tkpk) by putting their kids in private school

Anonymous
When the rubber meets the road, parents of all economic, racial, ethnic & geographic groups are going to get their kids what they believe is the best they can afford. Politicians, actors, megachurch leaders, business owners, activists etc all talk a good talk. But nobody with the money not to is going to put their kid in an environment they can afford to avoid.

Causing what problem? Nobody with two dimes to rub together would choose to live EOTR in DC sans charters.

It is child abuse to send your children to horribly failing schools when you have a 7-figure HHI. Enjoy your social experiment while your kids still speak to you.

So true. I could be wrong, but I believe Charles Murray sent his children to some backwater public district deep in Virginia or West Virginia. I vaguely recall him laughing during a public appearance that his then adult son said essentially he didn't find his father's social experience funny and couldn't wait to get the hell away from those people.

Some of those poors that you dislike have no choice. Y'all want diversity free immigration and equality and cheap labor. You want those poors taking jobs y'all don't want to do for a non liveable wage. You vote blue and then rant on here you want a nice big house that's cheap and send your kids to a private school to avoid the low performing poors that are bringing down the school rating. Y'all are hypocrites. Wolves in sheep's clothing. You're making things worse than better.

Yep they escape and avoid the problem. Just like those fleeing impoverished countries are doing. Avoiding the root of the issues. Making the world worse than it is.

Your subtle use of the Y'all is nothing but disguised racism towards white people, you know it and so does everyone else. You show your true colors and the fact that you hate anyone who is not poor or has been able to raise themselves out of poverty and strive for something else. No one, and that would include you if you were to be honest with yourself, wants to live in a crime plagued, trash strewn everywhere place where there is an obvious disregard for others and their happiness. The school ratings are brought down when parents are not involved and children don't attend regularly and try hard to succeed, just a fact whether you like it or not. My DD works as a waitress in one of those jobs you think "my kind" do not want to work at, and she is not the only one I know working in a blue collar wage environment and thriving. Why is she thriving? She does not have your attitude and is not a victim, as you clearly look in the mirror and tell yourself you are everyday. Y'all can kiss my ass with your constant victimization garbage, if you want better, do better, no one, including us all, is stopping you.

One more time for the slow to catch on, other people's children are not their to be your child's social worker. Do your f g job and parent your children and have them work hard and they will succeed, that would include if you wanted to move them to a different environment. You have the choice to do this, so do it.

Unless you look through computer screens how would you know what race I am? You're making prejudiced assumptions. I didn't call anyone out as white. I called out any race people who are sending their kids to private schools to avoid the issue.

You need to stop with your hot head assumptions.

Those parents aren't involved not because they don't want to but because they can't AFFORD to. Many of these are single parents and work all day everyday to afford a liveable wage.

Again never said you were white to say "your kind". Restaurant jobs can pay well. I know that for a fact. That's not a job for the poors.

You're a lost case. Extremely ignorant to the plight of those you avoid.

You’re right. It’s hypocritical for people to celebrate diversity but then move heaven and earth to avoid the diverse public schools they are zoned for. There’s no getting around it. I can understand your frustration.

Go move to North Korea if that’s how you think.

Public schools are just not an option for some people. They do not offer what parents want or need for their kids. Move on.

Are the public schools in Frederick County really that terrible or was Dr Murray exaggerating his kids’ complaints? I wouldn’t be surprised if his kids ended up at Harvard.

“Charles Murray and second wife Catherine Cox (m. 1983) … Murray attends and Cox is a member of a Quaker meeting in Virginia, and they live in Frederick County, Maryland near Washington, DC.”
