Here she at a parkland memorial in a strange cape thing is weird but still much better:

Here she is at a Pulse memorial in a much more normal, appropriate outfit. So it’s not like she doesn’t get practice going to mass shooting events, I guess that’s true of all American governors.

The Parkland one looks v avant garde. The Pulse one looks v normal - I guess we're lucky she didn't have the "Florida: Where Woke Goes To Die" jacket yet or she might have worn that with the normal dress.

The Jax one is ridiculous. It's just so unserious. It looks like she's depressed but vain and decided to toss on a schmata but a sexy one. The 9.11 one isn't, like I said, the worst thing she's ever worn. It's also just not quite right.

No, not every DC woman needs to wear pants. But likewise Casey D doesn't need to always wear a dress that looks like it comes from the Dillard's Nap To Night collection.

The Pulse Memorial one is pretty close to an A - might be too much cleavage. The 9/11 memorial one has a slit that’s too high and looks like it’s made of burlap. I tried on a dress similar to that for my FIL’s funeral in Florida and rejected it as nonserious and chose one with (gasp!) SLEEVES instead. The Parkland cape over pants is Vanky-level batshittery.

She doesn’t wear sleeves. But Michelle didn’t as much either. I have no issues with bare arms on women.

The 9/11 one is also just too small.

I think I like the Parkland dress because it's weird but it fits, and it doesn't seem inherently disrespectful. Even though it's the most attention getting, it doesn't seem attention seeking - the others do. Except the Pulse dress, which does seem to fit and is appropriate for the occasion. So she knows how to buy a dress in the right size - and just chooses not to do it.

I like her hair the best at parkland one too! It’s blown out and not that big Texas hair

I don’t mind sleeveless, even at an outdoor memorial (although I think it’s a little disrespectful), but these are strappy, not just sleeveless.

I like all three of these latest looks!
Think she's on DCUM?
(ps. I miss the trump women too)

For reference, here is Michelle Obama at an outdoor memorial sleeveless, although much more covered.

Here she is at a 9/11 event:

Here again sleeveless but no straps:

Here again in Dallas. Honestly I don’t like this one. Too much. Laura Bush looks much better.

Sleeveless is fine, as demonstrated here! Casey has a whole different thing going on. I hadn't realized, till PP posted those photos, how differently she used to dress. Really prefer her old style. Whatever she's doing now just looks off. Weird and off.

I like the dress, though the fabric looks so heavy...she must have been hot! I think the detail across the hip and the length of the slit are a little awkward and the dress overall doesn't look good in motion. Is she doing "walk tests" with her wardrobe?

And he's totally wearing cowboy boots.

Laura never put a foot wrong

Could she ever just, like, wear a pair of regular pants someplace?

I guess praise be that her husband isn't wearing a suit with his own name emblazoned on the lapel? It is a strangely fitting suit, though. At least he's not wearing his regular cowboy boots.

I have no idea what your complaint is. She looks beautiful and the dress is perfectly appropriate. Those aren't "spaghetti straps," btw.

This thread isn't about Jill Biden.

This is her at Uvalde, there’s a slightly weird pearl belt but basically nothing to say “look at me” or too revealing.

Jill Biden seems like a Oscar de la Renta devotee right now. She might not be fashion forward, but her dresses are always appropriate.

I think PP is referencing nap dresses, which are the bread and butter of basic girlies in the suburbs these days. Dress the kids in Beaufort Bonnet Co gear and grab a Stanley cup and you've completed the look.
