This raises a good point. Mentally unstable shooters are more likely than not to have been raised by mentally unstable parents so we can't exactly count on families to raise red flags and/or do the right thing.

We'll only see more of this with the abortion ban - more unwanted babies born into unhealthy home environments.

We need deep, robust mandatory mental, criminal, ethical and violence screenings of anyone in possession of a gun or seeking to possess a gun.

We’ve had guns in this country for hundreds of years. We’ve had semiautomatic and fully automatic guns since the 1890’s. But we didn’t have mass shootings until what, 1961? And then not another until the 80’s… And only in the 90’s did it start to become a thing.

If an ordinary citizen can’t have a gun, then no one else should be able to either. Not security guards. Not cops. And most definitely not the body guards of politicians who want to ban guns.
