Relative set out to get herself pregnant by a serviceman to escape living under parents house/rules

Tired of living under her parents roof and having to follow their rules. She forces a serviceman to marry her by getting herself pregnant by him.
2 children later (less than 2 years) she is now living back at home with her parents after the serviceman files for divorce.
He told her she ruined his life and he wants nothing to do with her anymore.
Now she is playing the single mother sympathy card. Everyone in our family is falling for her act.

It takes two to get pregnant. She may have mislead him, but if he didn't want kids with her, he should have used a condom. No sympathy for him. And, it is hard to be a single mom of two small kids.

I'm from a military family and engaged to a vet. Every single male I know who has served since Vietnam got the same speech in basic training: "Don't marry a girl just because you knocked her up."

Oh nonsense. He made his own choices, too. To have sex with her, likely without protection. It's 2015 - you don't have to get married when there's a child on the way. And then go on to have a 2nd child.

Maybe she's no gem, but the guy is not a victim.
