Im 40 years old and my parents still have yet to discuss in detail my trust fund.

I have asked them in the past and they don't give me a clear answer. They are so secretive about their finances but I think at 40 I am a big girl. Married with 3 kids and 300k household income.

So if you have a 300k hh income why do you need to know your trust fund details so badly. I don't know mine and I don't need to ask about it. They'll leave what they feel is appropriate. And we'll continue to live and save as if there will be no inheritance.

At 300k, you're hardly struggling

What makes you think you still have a trust fund? Maybe they changed their mind and are leaving their money to charity. You will find out the details of their will when they both die.

You don't mean trust fund.
You mean inheritance.
Not the same thing.

My husband is in the same situation. His parents have a trust but over the years I've become convinced it's all BS. They love to act like they are super wealthy when they aren't. I can see they have around 3 mm in real estate but haven't seen proof of anything else.

op here- no I mean trust fund. There is a trust fund with just my name on it and it has nothing to do with other inheritance. I am 40 years old don't know why they are not willing to discuss it with me.

Because you seem like an entitled, spoiled brat?

Are you my husband's ex wife? It's because your parents are crazy. CRAZY.

Who wrote it up for you? How do you know about it if they won't discuss it?

Yup. Their money, their business to discuss with you--or not.

I sound entitled because I am entitled. They have told me about this trust fund for years just no details.

You don't have your facts right. Or you don't have one. And they are avoiding telling you.

Who are the trustees? You would know this.
You do know they can revoke it at any time?

I'm 38 and I don't know the details of my inheritance. Why should I? My husband, kids, and I stand on our own feet. It's happy bonus money - whatever amount it is.

I do know about college fund accounts for the kids though.

Let me guess - household income means your husbands salary.
