I guess those Ukrainians volunteering to fight for the Nazis didn’t get the mem on how Hitler deemed Slavs to be subhuman. Not only did many Ukrainians during the war throw in their lot with the SS but there were a ton of volunteers from the Nordics and Baltics as well. Estonia or Latvia still has a holiday commemorating those who fought for Nazis.
