This is my 2nd name thread. DH and I are starting over.
Alternate middle names are April and Nicole. Last name starts with a C |
| No. Sounds very pretentious. Also, variations of Emma/Emmy are very popular right now. April is a white trash name. What else ya got? |
| I would reverse the two names. Beautiful. |
|
And ignore crabby poster. She needs sleep
|
|
DH also likes Bridget and Dallas ( I hate it)
and I kind of like Delta and Heidi. |
Thanks! |
| I'm an original April liker. Bridget and Heidi are nice too. Too many Emma/Rose/Lily flower names out there. These choices are simple and strong and pretty. And I think they will be onlyies in their class! |
No. Don't name your baby Rose. That's awful (and I say that having three old-lady relatives much loved with that name). |
| Emmaline sounds like the parents were trying too hard IMO. |
|
Lovely, classic in a way.
I'd spell it Emmeline, though. Emmaline looks odd to me. I assume you will pronounce it Emma-leen or is it Emma-line? One consideration might be if you are ok some of the potential nicknames such as Em, Emma, Emmy. Not a fan of Rose. Or Delta (think of the airline) What are your other names...Bridget, Heidi and April? They are all very different from each other. If you like Emmeline, I'd probably guess you'd also like Annabelle or Imogen or Anelise, but I wouldn't guess April or Heidi at all. |
| I don't like it - I like names that can help my girl be successful in any field and unfortunately there is solid research that overly feminine / flowery names create perceptions about the individual that impacts their career. |
| I like Emma Rose |
I also love Bridget! And use whatever middle game you want, nobody knows someone's middle name. |
| Hate the name Emmaline and all variations. Know soooo many. |
| April is fine. I teach an Abril right now if you are looking for more flair. It's Spanish. |
