Little shits shoplifting in Bethesda

Just left Safeway in Bethesda after picking up some lunch....at least 5 little shits (early high school?) standing by the bakery case STUFFING their backpacks with crap.

Told the bakery lady....she shrugged....told the deli man...he said oh yeah, they do it every day....finally a manager overheard me and said something about they have someone at the high school catching them??? WTF???

OP -- what would have happened if you had walked over to the group and said -- loudly -- "Excuse me, did you kids forget your shopping cart?"

Lol huh? Didn't understand the HS reference. Were they local students? I worked on Bethesda row, let's say I wasn't impressed with the children that populated that area. U can be affluent and educated 10x over but that does not translate to proper etiquette or proper home training

These kids did not look like they were truly hungry. The deli man said they do it every day!

Arlington Road? But that's not near enough to the public schools for them to walk over and early high school kids can't drive. BCC has an open campus so they are allowed to leave campus, Whitman only allows seniors to leave campus.

When I was a teenager in Betheda in the 80's -- remember the old Dart Drug -- I fell into a shoplifting habit. A man approached me and said rather loudly "Are you planning to put that back?" It freaked me out and rattled me enough that I stopped forever.

I wouldn't bother reporting them to anyone. Kids today think revenge is a game. I always mind my own business when I'm out shopping.
