i think this is true. Jews are typically relatively liberal on social issues and so have historically often aligned with the Democratic party, but it's likely most have a red line when it comes to advocacy on behalf of terrorism, especially terrorism focused on the complete destruction of Israel and the elimination of the Jewish religion. Demcratic sympathy for collateral casualties sustained in a defensive war started by Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis is fine, but when policy positions amount to giving those groups the opportunity to continue to pose an existential threat to Judaism and to Israel, Jews will side with those opposing efforts to obliterate them. Peace through strength is seen as more of a Republican ideal than the Democratic ideal of peace at any cost through accomodation of terrorist incubators and support systems.

You use terms like “defensive war” and “existential threat” without the slightest hint of irony …

DP it is a just war in every sense. As long as hamas holds hostages Israel is justified in taking almost any actions to reclaim the hostages.

One-third of them are dead. This is on Israel, who could have reclaimed civilian hostages the next day.

The hostages are coming back to Israel feet first, sadly. Realistically, not many of them are left alive, and even fewer will return.

The deaths of the hostages is "on Israel", not on the murderous Palestinian terrorists who actually killed them? That's a logical allocation of blame. Let's see: Take hostages, make demands, kill hostages when demands not met = those deaths are the fault of those who wouldn't meet the hostage-takers' demands and are no responsibility of the hostage-taking murderers.

How about we protest earning $17 an hour minimum wage..... I hope that the protest prevents that from happening as much as it prevented Gaza from being destroyed.

Sometimes I wonder if its not Iran but Israel who actually funds Hamas to justify its ethnic cleansing and land grabbing? I don't see Iran benefiting from it.

At this point ethnic cleansing is inevitable. West Bank Palestinians will be pushed into Syria and Gazans will be pushed into Egypt. Israel will wash it's hands of them and say the paletsinians are an arab problem just like the jews expelled from arab countries are israel's problem.

We can whine about it all we want but we not going to war to help Hamas retain control over Gaza. I don't know that they will push all the west bank Palestinians into Syria, I suspect those with work visas into Israel will get to stay.
