Parent of NL here. I’ve rarely heard anyone compare which of the two is a “better coach” but when it is said, usually BOH leads Dave and Colin Heeter. What is mentioned is which coach people like better (as to what kind of person they are). In this case BOH is viewed of miles ahead of Dave, but the two are brothers, so who cares. Not sure why pp even brought this all up. |

Every damn thread I turn to,is talking academics. Why? I don’t care how good you think your kids school is. Evernote thinks their school is the best for whatever reason they choose. Got it. Understood. Won’t matter when they go to college and graduate from their, but I think we all get it. Lots of pride.
Let’s talk sports. |
| Funny after SJC starts beating all these IAC teams on a reg they fall back to academics. Losers. When does 2022 season start? Will the IAC want to play or will Covid save them again. Landon already ducked who is next? |
| Prep folks still mad. SJC has won 3 in a row vs prep. Another L coming. |
|
And so it begins…. Next Level 23’ and Bullis Starting Lefty attackman will be transferring to DeMatha after break!
Bold move, Dave! Not like Next Level’s reputation will soon be destroyed. |
Nah. No one will throw any pity parties for Bullis. Now if he starts poaching Landon players, them's fighting words. |
The kid lives in PG county if I am not mistaken so maybe the kid's parents were sick of the daily commute around the beltway, sitting in traffic etc.etc. If it's the kid who I think it is, it shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone as it old brother went to 3 different schools in 4 years. |
One phenomenal season by the Cadets doesn't equal a dynasty. I fully anticipate Prep and SJC to meet again in the finals at the IAC - WCAC classic in June. Who is SJC playing this Spring during the regular season, other than their league games? Anyone from the IAC, or MIAA |
|
Not a SJC parent. Prep is far weaker in ‘22 than ‘21 and SJCs monster ‘22 class is a year older. Even with a few departures, SJC will mop the floor with Prep if and when they play this year.
No love for SJC but gotta tip your hat to the plan. They went after a bunch of very strong players from an expanded radius that weren’t typical area private school kids. It’s not like they poached these kids that otherwise would have headed to Landon or Prep or Gonzaga. Set them up with aid as needed, which is great for a lot of these families without the resources that many of us are lucky to have. They built a very strong class of ‘22 and Wes coaches them hungry. Will it follow through to future classes? TBD. But all the hate just masks the frustration of watching these 22’s run roughshod over the area for the past couple years. |
| Prep will be better this year as the strong 23 class gets a year older. SJC still the team to be beat both in the DMV and nationally. But Prep will be nationally relevant. Landon is the dark horse. Bullis, PVI, and Gonzaga not nationally relevant but very good teams. SSSAS, STA, SAES, DeMatha, and Episcopal all intriguing in their own way. Should be a more dynamic spring than last. |
I am going to disagree with you on that statement. Prep has a stellar 2023 class but can they play as a team or is it a bunch of hero ball club players. The Prep 2021 class was as deep and talented as their 2014 team. The Lil Hoyas should remain as the team to beat in the IAC but they won't be nearly as dominant as last Spring. |

It is this kid, and his brother is now at his 4th college in 2 years. |
Beat Landon and Prep before Covid ended 2020 season too. Open with Prep this year. Landon refused to play. |
|
SJC is playing 2 of the MIAA top teams to include last years league champ. Not ducking anyone.
Anyone with connections at Landon tell them to pick up the phone. |
