| Don't think that will be possible for a merger. Too many moving parts, financial commitments, and politics involved for that to happen |
The MU parents on this team have said all along play ups will be at age next year, and should be except maybe one player. Nobody is claiming otherwise. It is not a general lack of talent. They need more quality 06 players. |
It would not create a powerhouse. It would create a mediocre club. |
| ^^ I love how people predict if a club would become a powerhouse or a mediocre club. These people are neither soccer experts or fortune tellers. LOL. |
Due to the constant trolling, these MU threads just become head shakers. It’s obvious to sane folks who have eyes that there are talented players on every MU team. It’s also obvious that several teams are simply in need of several more at age players to complete the team. A merger with BRYC, however unlikely, would do that. There are one or two people here who need to lay down the axe and focus on their own DD clubs’ issues, because there’s not a club in this area that is without them. |
Please stop bringing your DD up, you don't like when posters disagree with you and then you end up reporting their posts for deletion. This is a public forum not a Metro coaches/family thread. |
So you think it's MU parents that are constantly bringing up their DD's? LOL. |
If you are not affiliated with the club and are posting things that are untrue or are nothing more than trolling then they should be reported and taken down. When opinions are posted as fact without any basis in truth it is worthy of removal regardless of the thread or the club. |
But it seems to happen most often with fcv and Mu. How do you know which anonymous posters are affiliated with the club? How do you know who is affiliated with the club? |
The MU parents know each other and the teams. It's obvious when posts are made by people who don't know the teams and players. The posts either contain BS that MU parents would not say or have a thinly veiled agenda to throw teams or players under the bus. The posts stick out like a sore thumb. In other words, you are trolling here daily but are not very good at it. |
The basic problem is that the forum is anonymous so you're going to get this sort of frivolous posting, especially when there is no moderator. |
It shouldn't matter if you are or are not affiliated. If the post has truth and/or satisfactory opinion based on analysis (even if you disagree) then nothing is wrong with that post other than you don't agree or don't like it. That should not be a cause for deletion. |

Not a MU or FCV parent. Curious soccer parent checking things out for future. I do wonder why I read so many mean things about these two clubs. The anger regarding these two
Clubs is crazy. The one club everyone seems To hate the TD and the other club people are just wishing it would go away. On that note then why would you care if it is not your kid on that team. |
Well, that is the rub, many of the posts are not truthful and are stated as such. Attempts at trolling as well as thread hijacking will also be called out in any thread and removed. |
Do we have to decide in absolutes? There are some special MU posters and some special Non-MU posters. Some truth to both types of posts. IMHO, worst offenders on the forum are name callers, telling people to get a life, sock puppets, etc. Let the naysayers say what they want, let performance speak. If the play ups are deserved then the public at large would essentially acknowledge its validity and should be able to see that for themselves. There would be recognition across the area from coaches, parents, and other players, that these are non-issues by doing similar things. So what I think we are seeing is something else and because its something else, it's disruptive. Disruptive doesn't necessarily imply wrong, but if messaging to the players and parents is lacking (and very different from other clubs actions), what should we expect? If the individual's impact to team performance bears out the disruptions need, by all means, disrupt away. But as a club, be prepared to acknowledge and explain when it doesn't. If it's all about showcasing something specific, at least be honest to the players and parents. |
