I see you don’t have reading comprehension skills either. My argument is that “Rapinio” had 3 times as many goals and assists. Maybe you don’t understand math either. Your personal bias against her no withstanding, she is a great player who has been a constant feature in a team that’s been to 3 straight World Cup finals. I don’t really have to attack you, the stupidity of your post speaks for itself

DP. I agree with the PP on Morgan and LLoyd. Megan was much better several years ago and is on the decline. She’s been a very good player for the USWNT, but her role has been more to push social boundaries further than the women’s game, unlike the former two. Different people have different ideas on whether or not star athletes (or musicians or actors, etc) should (ab)use their fame to push social issues.

Watching the victory parades, it struck me how very much Megan Rapinoe reminds me of another famous footballer:

She’s the Paul Pogba of the USWNT.

Natural leader, long periods of mediocrity on the pitch punctuated by moments of brilliance, an insatiable desire for attention.

The only real badasses in the world don’t care what anybody else thinks about them and don’t spend time thinking about it. Rapinoe has many qualities and virtues. This is not among them. But I hope your daughter can grow up that way. It is pretty invaluable not to require attention, affection and positive feedback. And it will be a huge advantage vs her peers, who have been helicopter-parented into needing all that all the time.
