No he isn’t. |
I recognize Alexandra Shapiro from the Diddy team. Not suggesting anything about that being a criminal case, for me the interesting part is the Geragos team was also on that side and Geragos is friendly with Freedman, and Geragos for a time represented James Vituscka.
Also, Shapiro clerked for Liman. |
lol, that last bit is all that matters. She’s going to kick Gottlieb out of the hot tub. |
Of course he is. Going by this loose definition. Unless you were a homeless orphan you're considered a nepo baby. Sam Baldoni has been around Hollywood a long time. |
Unfortunately, this is not correct. Shapiro clerked for RBG and a Court of Appeals judge, which is what you would expect from anp good appellate lawyer. |
His dad is a millionaire who financed Baldoni's film studio when Baldoni couldn't find work as an actor anymore. I think that counts. It's certainly not much different from Blake getting an acting gig from her dad. They are both nepo babies who were given huge legs up in life and specifically in Hollywood due to their parents' wealth and position. I really do not see a big difference there. |
Shhh the David v Goliath narrative will spin out of control with this new information! |
That's going to go out the window when the trial starts. It was one thing when Freedman could control the narrative via the tabloid press, it's going to be different when the trial reveals a bunch of inconvenient realities about this case. |
Sure, when Blake no longer gets the benefit of the Court assuming her allegations are true, it’s all going to quickly crumble. |
Sure. Just like all the "settle now!" posters promised us she would need to do. The predictions if anything have been solidly wrong every time. |
I think that's different. I was annoyed by the Blake should settle (always Blake, never Justin! ) but it's true that burden is going to shift to Blake now, to prove her claims and there are thing there that will not stand up to scrutiny. And it is also going to be uncomfortable for Baldoni and co to answer what they meant in those texts. No one is going to come out of trial looking great. |
lol Justin doesn’t have the option to settle. She’s the one accusing him of wrongdoing, he can’t just decide to drop the lawsuit. Blake is the only who can do that. Do you not understand how court works??? |
Shapiro was number one in her law school class, that’s pretty darn impressive.
I’m pretty excited because I think there is a chance this means they are going to appeal the MTD decision, The NY Times was asking for a final order just last week. I think that would be very interesting. And to clarify, there is an associate at this firm that clerked for Liman. Perhaps Gottlieb is out of the golf foursome after all. In all seriousness, I don’t think that the WF lawyers have been as bad as the Blake supporters like to claim, but I posted right after the motion to dismiss decision that WF needed someone who understood Liman’s way of thinking. I still think that. |
When Lively was a defendant, Baldoni supporters said she should offer him millions, possibly tens or hundreds of millions, to drop his case. |
This was back when he had a case against her... you know, before it got dismissed in full. Keep up. |
