5A: Champion is Stone Bridge - They have multiple college commits, I believe its their time. Indy moves on, Stone Bridge steps in. Dark Horse is Riverside - they look just ok at the Turkey Shootout. However they seem to always be in the mix, so probably will be again to some extent.

4A: Champion is Salem - They return multiple guys from their state championship run last year. Dark Horse is Loudoun County - Building off of last years runner up success as well as there is some success throughout the school with the football team also making it to the state finals this year.

I love the break down... However, you may not had seen Riverside the entire day.... They beat Freedom by 4 and then they beat both Oakton and Yorktown by 5+... I dont think any other team there had those margins of victory...

Pretty sure they're talking about Turkey Shootout.

Are you referencing Fall Brawl for how to assess teams going into the real lacrosse season?!?

Ok, but was that full field? The schedule indicates it was not, so how are we using Sixes or whatever style lacrosse to make assumptions about full field lacrosse?
Even if it wasn't full field (and it was), what are your preferences to make assumptions for spring lacrosse? "Anonymous" posting teams that have several good guys back? Or are you just waiting to challenge those assumptions later on this week?

Robo or BF will play Cosby for the title and then there's everyone else. Any of those 3 will win it all.

Robinson defense had the edge over BF last weekend at TSO. Ended up being a 5-2 game I think but the 2 for BF were last minute in the game type goals. Not sure BF got 10 shots off actually. Didn't seem like they got many at all. Interesting about Cosby. They do have the easy route for sure. They beat Robinson last year somehow in state semis so they can beat the NOVA teams when it counts. We'll see I guess. Shaping up to be an interesting spring ahead.

Cosby will not be as good as last year. They will still be very solid but they lost a lot.

Cosby lost their 1st Team All State Goalie, Defenseman, and Attack. 2nd Team All State Defenseman.

They return a lot of good pieces but last year was their year to make a run.

I still think Riverside is the favorite until beaten. They have never lost to SB and looking back on Laxnumbers they have only lost to 4 public school teams Since 2021. I didn’t even realize how dominant they actually have been.

I'm sorry but I don't see Langley winning anything this year

People commenting that "so and so team was midding their midfield" or something of that nature shows you can't really put much stock into the fall/winter events. Maybe you can glimpse or infer something, perhaps see a sign of progress or an issue. But you have to know the teams really well. Which some people on here do (I don't) but a lot of people pull things out their butts.

Is Lightridge a contender in 5A?

Good question

Ill let you answer your own question:
Program was 6-10 in 2025
Wins were against: Kettle Run (+10), Woodgrove (+2), Heritage (+4), Brentsville (+1), Champe (+8), and Potomac Falls (+3)
All of these are Class 4, except PF who is bottom Class 5 team

Games vs top Class 5 team from last year: Riverside (-13),Stone Bridge (-8), Indy (-14), Briar (-3), SB (-10)

With that- what case do you have to say that they have made that big of a jump to be a Class 5 contender in Loudoun much less state wide?

They went 7-0 in VEL and just beat Yorktown in Fierce Nation. By everyone on this forums logic they must be very good or maybe offseason lacrosse results shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Heard Rock Ridge got a couple transfers can anyone confirm?

So it’s the same teams that are good every year again? Got it.
