Who is Riverside's best player that didn't play?

I believe they are talking about the CNU Commit on attack.

Jacob Stromberg he was all-state as a sophomore and has over 100 goals. Do not know his injury or status but he is a very good player.

I see 3 CNU commits, none attack. Attack commit is listed as Salisbury.

just because they play one position for club doesn't mean they don't play another position for HS

If a player is a Sophomore they're able to be on JV or Varsity, is it a week to week roster choice?

Also, Juniors can be on JV?

Yes, Jr's can play JV.

As for an underclassman play on V and JV. I think it is a game by game thing. Where the player can play either V or JV for that day, but not both. SO not week to week, but game to game. Also, I do not think the player could play in more than the total number of team games (16?), in the event that JV and V do not play on the same games.

In essence, an underclassman can play a maximum number of 16? regular season games for a HS in a season. This can be any combo of V or JV, BUT they cant play on V and JV on the same day.

Very helpful, thanks!

Trying to figure out what the JV/V roster situation means for my kid, how to help them learn to manage their expectations while keeping focus and practicing/playing as hard as possible. Obviously it has to be intrinsic, but helping my kid understand basic roster math and how things work for potential of getting called up, or others moving down to help a struggling JV, is great info.

Hopefully the coach explained to him what the plan was. Practice with Varsity, but play JV. Practice with Varsity, and play JV or Varsity depending on opponent. Practice with both JV and Varsity, play JV. JV Team, Varsity call up for playoffs. I'm confident that different programs/coaches do different things based on the needs of the program, and player development. If you son doesn't know or understand, its best to get the answer from the coach.

I was told by mon that there is a potential mid-season call up, but of course that depends on how my son practices and plays. It's a suddenly senior laden Varsity roster so who knows what'll happen.

I really appreciate the helpful information!

I watched the first half on NFHS... LB was up 3-1 at halftime. Both teams looked fairly even. LB had very good ball movement on offense. Herndon's offense was flat. The ball was sitting in #1's (york commit) stick 90% of the time, vs LB's offense where the ball spun fast

OP here... just finished the 2nd half. Herndon came back and won 6-5. Looked liked two teams who were just about dead even talent wise.
