Stop it. They are top players that chose to stay with Union and being rewarded rightfully so and they aren’t defenders so their minutes might not help the team score but certainly their performance didn’t get the team to get scored on.

They couldnt bring the defenders or other midfielders because they didn’t want 11s in those games made mistakes and got the team to get scored on.

No dog in the fight but can't understand why we are not all rallying behind the local clubs? I hoping Bethesda and Arlington represent well for the DMV!

I can't understand why people are fighting over kid's soccer. Let them play. ECNL is the top. Great for the kids that are there. Almost every kid in ECNL will be recruited. Leave the kids alone. They lost. That happens in life quite often for no reason at all. Good life lesson for them but they should not be called out on this or any forum. DCUM is great for area soccer because people can share info about what is happening that would be really hard to otherwise obtain. Let's keep that going and not spend time calling out kids who likely tried their best. See how they respond next season. Cheer them. Stop brining them down. Maybe High School or the older recruiting ages are fair game for this but not 10s and 11s.

More importantly, while 2010 Union got embarrassed by Surf in a single game, they still had an excellent, excellent season by any measure.

They beat everyone in the DMV and MA, including CSA, and won Jeff Cup top flight. My DD was not on that team, but I would be proud if she was, regardless of whether they fell back April-June.

They did not beat everyone in northern Virginia. They did finish second place though. Below Charlotte and above VDA.

Move your Union cat fight to the appropriate thread. There are zero Virginia teams in Richmond this weekend moving on.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!! As a former athlete, I cheered for every local team in national events.

Get real! Are you saying these 2011 players don't make mistakes that is why they were selected. Stop this nonsense. Even the 2010 players made a lot of mistakes that is why they lost badly 10-0. The 2010 team will be fine next year with the other additions. They will probably make it to Nationals again and the roster is over 20 players so there will be no room for 2011s this time.

If they are as good as you claim, they need to buckle up and help the 2011 qualify for nationals next year. Otherwise, a whole lot more talent will be looking for another team going to high school.

Who would want to join the 2010s (or stay on the 2010s) after the mental derangement of the 2010 parent shown on this thread? I mean, come on. It’s weeks later and this vicious parent is still picking on 13 year olds. I thought Arlington parents were bad! Geesh.
