Daily mail. OP and I are both embarrassed to say we read it.

There is also an article about it in rolling stone. Not that that is necessarily a reputable source.

Who’s the crazy who reads it as their primary “news” source in the morning?

Might be banging from another vessel in the area. Just like when searchers thought they had detected pings from MH370

I hope so. I hate to think of them alive with no chance of rescue

I don’t understand why not? Can they get a crane

I just heard that too. That’s extremely tragic though. If they aren’t able to bring the vessel up on their own, there is no way to rescue them at that depth.

+1

That would almost be worse. If they saw a rescue vessel of some sort but still couldn’t be rescued. That would be cruel.

Well maybe it would give them hope. They could believe rescue is coming and drift off to sleep. Still tragic but at least knowing someone knew you were there and was trying…

This is a dumb question, but if it is stuck at the bottom, how would they even get it up?

A crane?? Are you kidding?

From what I’ve read they can’t. There isn’t a vessel that can go to that depth and also pull it up.

It’s wrong to pick on them though I do think it’s relevant. Bring rich gives people access to do some risky things that make them feel special: Private planes, trips into space, race cars, the depths of the sea…and they do a lot of these things without the knowledge or respect for the seriousness of the adventures.

I’m married to a not rich pilot. I can tell you I would never fly in a private plane and I would never think I could fly myself to my cousins wedding at night. Because I understand the training needed and how important is. Their confidence and money sometimes kill them.

The rich people are the reason this trip could take place, which was not just a sightseeing tour, it’s other purpose is to monitor the titanic site from a preservation and identification perspective.

BS. The wreck has been down there for over a century. What “preservation and identification” needs to be done now?

It's disintegrating. Soon it will be gone, by 2030 according to one estimate.

So what? Why do people need to go down to the bottom of the ocean in a submarine? It can be documented with machines ie the ones seen in the titanic movie.

Additionally, it’s a shipwreck from 110 years ago. Why does it need be revisited at this point?

Why do people insist on visiting those pesky pyramids? Extremely dangerous in Egypt.

Why do all those people go to Israel to visit those sites, don’t they know how dangerous it is on that plot of land?

Oh lord are you the person that is terrible with analogies? If not, you have an identical twin on this thread.

Neither of your examples are comparable to what these people did.

Great analogies and trust me going to those countries can be just as dangerous as traveling to the bottom of the ocean if not more so.

There are many risk averse DCUM people who could never imagine traveling to the Middle East or Mongolia or Pakistan.

No King Crab leg, traveling to the pyramids and Israel are not as dangerous if not more so. There is zero to trust with you because you cannot provide a proper analogy. You don’t even understand what that means.

Is your last name Gorga-Guidice-Ruelas?

You cannot explain why you don’t agree with the analysis only to say the PP is wrong. You are just jealous of people and that is okay. Goodbye troll you won’t get responded to again which is all you want.

You’re seriously dumb.

Plus even if that vessel existed. They would have to get it there.

Banging sounds heard are on most new outlets now.
Praying for a miracle.

Could it possibly be from the vessel at the surface? That’s like their only hope

I hope this turns out ok, but I have to say - how much money are we spending to rescue these millionaires?? Our Coast Guard and tons of other military resources are being used to find them. I feel the same way about people who voluntarily choose to hike in dangerous areas or climb Mt. Everest. They should have to sign a waiver beforehand, agreeing that they take full responsibility and will not expect a rescue mission should something go wrong.
